I love the amount of professionalism they gang has developed! Like Yumi saying they need to defend their position instead of rushing back to the lab to help Jeremy!

I missed season 4. Not a XANA attack in almost every episode, Aelita didn’t always have to deactivate the towers, Lyoko’s animation got amazing and their costumes got so much better…
the only thing I don't agree with is the costume change idk the last ones kinda had more personality meanwhile the current ones feel more generic But yeah I love how the series changed from S2 onward
As much as I love the season 4 Lyoko outfits, they definitely lacked in terms of personality. Prioritizing coolness with the price of becoming generic super hero body suits.
Season 4 would have been better if the characters weren't so mean to each other and they got rid of certain bad episodes and replaced them with more replika episodes.

The William clone is literally a specter it has no emotions or feelings. The William Clone is only aware of the fact that it's existing it doesn't have any knowledge or emotion beyond it's programming it's quite literally a computer program

Honestly a better way to handle William being trapped on Lyoko is to let the general public think he’s missing, and then when he finally comes back come up with an elaborate story on where he’s been. Kidnappers and such.
Only problem with that is that everyone in this universe blames the five of them for every little thing going wrong. So even if everyone believes the kidnapping at first Jim or Sissi will start to dig into the story and find out the truth.
Yep. Not to mention how Yumi clearly only got it open through pure adrenaline. Honestly even when I saw this as a kid, I was half expecting Xana to try sending Yumi back to Lyoko immediately after her virtualization, initiating the whole "don't virtualize someone after it's been 12 hours since they were de-virtualized or else they'll die digital sea-style probably" thing. My guess is that he tried to do this but couldn't because there were so many other programs in the way that Jeremie had set up before, and by the time that could have happened, Yumi had already escaped the scanner.
This show is so good. When I started this nostalgic journey, I couldn't help but binge 10-12 episodes in one sitting. However, as I near the end of the series, I have found myself only watching 1 or 2 at a time to kind of stretch it out. I say all that to say again: we have got to get Netflix to do a continuation of this show in the original cartoon format like this.

Oh, definitely. In general, I wish Season 4 was more serialised. It's 30 episodes so they could've done three 10-episode-long story arcs, kind of like Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia. Franz Hopper should've been there in human form interacting with everyone for at least the final 10 episodes. He could've been angry Jeremy used Xana code to create Clone William. And then Jeremy would've been like: "Maybe AIs aren't the problem! Maybe YOU just messed up! Look, the clone saved my life. I trust him."

It really shows that since they how they treated Clone William that if Alita was a Boy they would have just unplugged the Super Computer.

It does make you wonder what things would've been like if Lyoko DID get another season. The S4 finale probably would've just been about rescuing William. To quote Roddy from Freakazoid - "Networks are fickle! They can drop you like a man with big, oak fingers!" I bet Code Lyoko writers weren't even aware Season 4 was the last one until the last few episodes. We're lucky it even got a proper ending. So many other serialised cartoons were left with cliffhangers.
Anyone ever notice how there’s four spots for the nav skids and Aelita always hits three out of four switches when they have to fight on the digital sea but there’s only three nav skids to begin with (I’m assuming the last spot would’ve been for William but no nav skid)

That way, anyone who didn't know about the real one's return might confuse it for the clone. Of course, how events played out rendered that kinda moot, but it'd fit XANA's MO to try and think ahead like that.
I just got this thought about for the rest of the episodes Sissi and those two dorks Herb and Nicholas followed Jeremy, aelita, odd, Ulrich and Yumi to the factory to see what they are doing when they all leave the factory those three go and Snoop around find the computer however William possessed by XANA used his electric attack to knock them unconscious and put them all in the scanners virtualized them into Lyoko and the scyphozoa possessive them to obey XANA just like William to take over Earth on the internet those three have the same dark outfits like aelita odd and Ulrich and abilities I know Jeremy will have a of work making polymorphic specters of the three to make sure sissi's father or anyone else doesn't know that they are gone until Jeremy finds a way to get them back form XANA's control
William's clone is one of my favorite characters. Yes, he's unfinished and artificial, but come on, he defended them without hesitation. I just noticed there's a sliiiight problem with XANA's plan in this episode: if William break the supercomputer, how does XANA plan on getting him back into the digital world? By plane to one of the other supercomputers?
Is this the first time that Jeremy has actually gone against X.A.N.A (in some form) ready to fight with a weapon of some sorts? That seems so unlike him.
Now that we are on the final episodes, I can say I love Ulrich and Aelita's character. you can tell Aelita is more angry looking and really grew up fast. Finding her father will clearly be a big goal for them. I haven't seen the rest of the episodes yet, but i look forward to what will happen next.
Christian Suderman well I mean I don't think we realized it because he was glued to his computer because of her so it made it a little better for their relationship now he's trying to do more complex things and yes he is a little bit of a jerk but he is running on no sleep most of the time no food and reliving the same days over and over so I think he could be a lot worse

Honestly a better way to handle William being trapped on Lyoko is to let the general public think he’s missing, and then when he finally comes back come up with an elaborate story on where he’s been.

Only problem with that is that everyone in this universe blames the five of them for every little thing going wrong. So even if everyone believes the kidnapping at first Jim or Sissi will start to dig into the story and find out the truth.

Honestly even when I saw this as a kid, I was half expecting Xana to try sending Yumi back to Lyoko immediately after her virtualization, initiating the whole "don't virtualize someone after it's been 12 hours since they were de-virtualized or else they'll die digital sea-style probably" thing.
My guess is that he tried to do this but couldn't because there were so many other programs in the way that Jeremie had set up before, and by the time that could have happened, Yumi had already escaped the scanner.
This show is so good. When I started this nostalgic journey, I couldn't help but binge 10-12 episodes in one sitting. However, as I near the end of the series, I have found myself only watching 1 or 2 at a time to kind of stretch it out. I say all that to say again: we have got to get Netflix to do a continuation of this show in the original cartoon format like this.

I’ve been saying this for years, lol. It really, really felt like they originally wanted him to be a Good Guy AI but changed their mind. Sometimes this makes me think there was credence to the idea that there was supposed to be a real season 5. They certainly left a lot of room for it.
Clone William deserved better. At least let him sit with the group during lunch instead of all by himself!

Oh, definitely. In general, I wish Season 4 was more serialised. It's 30 episodes so they could've done three 10-episode-long story arcs, kind of like Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia.
Franz Hopper should've been there in human form interacting with everyone for at least the final 10 episodes. He could've been angry Jeremy used Xana code to create Clone William. And then Jeremy would've been like: "Maybe AIs aren't the problem! Maybe YOU just messed up! Look, the clone saved my life. I trust him."

@@lockskelington314 That does sound pretty believable. The lava sector was a thing in the video games and there's also concept art of the mountain sector replica location (water dam). It does make you wonder what things would've been like if Lyoko DID get another season. The S4 finale probably would've just been about rescuing William.
To quote Roddy from Freakazoid - "Networks are fickle! They can drop you like a man with big, oak fingers!" I bet Code Lyoko writers weren't even aware Season 4 was the last one until the last few episodes. We're lucky it even got a proper ending. So many other serialised cartoons were left with cliffhangers.
Anyone ever notice how there’s four spots for the nav skids and Aelita always hits three out of four switches when they have to fight on the digital sea but there’s only three nav skids to begin with (I’m assuming the last spot would’ve been for William but no nav skid)

That way, anyone who didn't know about the real one's return might confuse it for the clone. I just got this thought about for the rest of the episodes Sissi and those two dorks Herb and Nicholas followed Jeremy, aelita, odd, Ulrich and Yumi to the factory to see what they are doing when they all leave the factory those three go and Snoop around find the computer however William possessed by XANA used his electric attack to knock them unconscious and put them all in the scanners virtualized them into Lyoko and the scyphozoa possessive them to obey XANA just like William to take over Earth on the internet those three have the same dark outfits like aelita odd and Ulrich and abilities I know Jeremy will have a of work making polymorphic specters of the three to make sure sissi's father or anyone else doesn't know that they are gone until Jeremy finds a way to get them back form XANA's control

Christian Suderman well I mean I don't think we realized it because he was glued to his computer because of her so it made it a little better for their relationship now he's trying to do more complex things and yes he is a little bit of a jerk but he is running on no sleep most of the time no food and reliving the same days over and over so I think he could be a lot worse
