Chavez Jr. does not have the boxer heart that his father has. He should make up his mind as to what he wants to do with his life. Smoke it away or push himself to be the best boxer that he can be. His body has the power to take boxers out but Julio does not have the conviction to train and fight the way a champion should.
Chavez Jr is now at the point in his career where he needs to start fighting the best contenders out there and try to win a major title and unify the titles in one or more weight classes (which I hope he does) OR he just retires and live his life without having to train and fight and get hit anymore.
really can't see what people have against chavez jr the guy makes exciting fights! he could be a little smarter and use his jab more but he's a fighter! wants to be on the inside. how anyone can question the heart of a successful fighter is beyond me! do they know what he has to take to even get championship level?
Great fight really, Molina has such heart. You can tell he had a dream he was fighting for in this match. This is another one of those 'legacy judgements'. Fight was a draw.
Ya know it wasn’t just the name people enjoyed. His mannerisms were so similiar to Sr, people were expecting things because he resembles his father physically and it only made sense that Jr. would have the heart of him. Well that just goes to show you that the heart is going to beat genetics and potential 10 out of 10 times. He was a spoiled entitled asshole, and as much as I hate to say it because it’s a cop out because some guys with privileged upbringings can be good fighters but he just wasn’t the case. His complaining to the ref’s and his constant lack luster showings can be blamed on the silverspoon he grew up with in his mouth and the goldspoon stuck up his ass. I just can’t believe how many second third fourth and fifth chances he got.
All these internet judges got me laughing 😂 a lot of those punches Molina throws aren’t even landing and when they do they’re only taps. Just because Molina always coming forward and throwing tap punches doesn’t mean he won 🤦🏻♂️ Chavez got in that ass!!

I got Chavez Jr winning 1, 3, 4, 5. I can see how many would give Molina the 1st, but I score for the guy hitting harder than being more busy. And JCC Jr had Molina hurt several times in the middle-late rounds. Molina never once hurt JCC Jr. Good decision by the judges.
Smaller Molina was a lot of fun to watch. Lately, not so much. Would like to see these guys fight again at 160 if JCC Jr can ever get serious about boxing again.

I gave rounds 1,2,6 to Molina and rounds 3,4,5 to Chavez. Pretty easy to score only the second was close.
