I really do appreciate Adam's commentary in all these matches he works. I'm relatively new to the TT world and having him just randomly explain something I've been wondering helps me better understand what's going on or why someone is angry or an obscure rule or whatever. Love ya, Adam!

I truly wish the camera would at least occasionally not switch views right at the serve contact. It makes it impossible to analyze serves.
I think the reason the camera view is the current way, and the switcheroo, is so we can't review the serves frame-by-frame.
I did it plenty, and can't now, but would basically call out all the service cheating. I think the umpires and officials didn't like it much.

Adam is great... however, when he commented on Shidong's shovel serve he said, " they leave very little clue as to what spin....." Very little clue, it is a hidden serve which is illegal by the rules. Why make a rule to make the game better and then NOT uphold it! Any hiding of the ball in any way is illegal. So is the way many throw it "up." this needs to end as well.

Embarrassing for the Chinese that they feel it is ok to win by cheating. This should be adressed both at ITTF and at the Chinese Team. I love Chinese players but this really makes me furious. You all should now better than disgrace this beautiful sports by cheating!

I hate how LSD always depends on these illegal serves when shit gets tight. Against Lebrun he also needed the illegal serves to win in the 5th. Should be called by the umpire
The ball must be seen from throw until contact in a serve however this rule can be bent slightly as only one parallel angle needs to see the ball fully. E.g. Timo left handed he sits on the right side of the table, LSD can serve where he can’t see the ball at all but if he was standing on the left side like most RH players he’d see the ball just fine. It’s js a grey area and the table tennis federation allows it. They would’ve made it explicitly clear if it wasn’t like that.
@KxsshThe opponent is still required to make the view of the ball visible at all times to the player, and the umpires too, for the rules to be applied fairly.
@Kxssh...and that's regardless of where the receiver stands...
Sad to see so many pro players use illegal serves frequently, and also having almost zero warnings, penalties from umpires. It's making me furious sometimes, TBH... ruins the whole idea of a "fairplay".

@Resetovskyy7 nobody can top malong, zhang jike, xu xin, & fan zhendong line up in their prime
@@throwback7832 I think that is the exception, they are a golden generation and the new guys might not be as good, but that doesn't make them weak. They still take care of non Chinese opposition regularly
