Years ago he had a TV show where he played different characters. He was Hakan, he was the driving instructor Mr. Yildirim and of course Ranjid from India and he plays with the diffrent accents, characteristics and clichés of people from Germany and other countries. He has a lot of videos, where he is the most funiest comedian ever.

We do have a lot of turkish based people in Germany, the ones I actually know I love to death.
Obviously there's always an exception to the rule, but especially in small towns, they are some of the nicest people ever. I'm really glad that Germany is turning more and more into a melting pot. I mean, London and Dublin and most big cities are as well.
It's just natural that cultures merge together and we're better off with that.

Loved his TV show when I was a kid, when I went to one of his live performances I literally never stopped laughing (I was so wasted afterwards, positively). He also started doing RUclips videos since covid restricted him from doing live performances for a while and still continues to upload (laughing challenges, reactions, video games etc.) in addition to live acts.

He's FANTASTIC with sound comedy! He said himself during his shows, that he has a habit ob mimicking the accents of ppl wherever he goes and getting into trouble for it. Cause ppl think he's mocking them, but he's just adapting without even noticing and mirroring the language 🤣

Kaya Yanar is a telling his VERY Turkish version of this part of German Turkish history: the first Turkish workers came in 1961, 16 years after WW II in accordance with a german-Turkish recruitment treaty of 1961. So the claim of some Turks that they were the ones to rebuild Germany after the war is without valid foundation. Because: During the 1950s, years before the Turks, it was Italien, Spanish, Greek and Portuguese workers who had been coming to Germany on similar inter state recruitment treaties with their respective countries. That was when the German „Wirtschaftswunder“ happened (long before the Turks) - an unprecedented booming of the German economy that created more jobs than the Germany could fill by herself. Only when those - European - sources were exhausted Germany turned to Turkey in 1961. About 900.000 Turkish workers came till 1973. On November 23 of 1973 Turkish recruitment was officially revoked by the German government who was however lenient in the matter of „Familienzusammenführung“, the rejoining of families which many Turkish worker took as an opportunity not only to have their wives resettle in Germany but whole extended families with 4 grandparents and numerous brothers and sisters with their whole families.

Well let's say it's like the difference between "entertainment" and "politics". They're both hold incredibly important functions in society and actual they're best in combination.
Because as muchvad I love our satire, it's often somewhat traumatic and devastating through the laughter. So sometimes you just need the light hearted laughter that is really JUST healing and not "trying to patch you through the process of shattering"
They both equally require a lot of skill. It's just that the skill sets are different. Comedy requires a lot of everyday observation of people. Satire requires a lot of research and "the guts to look where the sun don't shine" 😅

Hey Mert! First of all, i love your channel! I am an Italian guy raised in Switzerland and living since almost 30 years in Germany. So for me it´s an interesting, and at the same time honouring thing, seeing a scottish guy observing and loving german culture. Anyway, You asked for some proposals to more German comedy. Here´s mine: Check out "Bernie & Ert". They have been a part of the "Freitag Nacht News"-Show, wich took place between 1999 and 2006 on german RTL-Television. You will recognize the two puppets as satire charakters of "Bert & Ernie" of the US Child program "Sesamestreet". But beware: The satire is pretty rough! The producers had changed the characters from childhood-type humor, to very rough adult humor! You got to consider, that Germans hasn´t been sensible for some kind of jokes at the period of time! So even if today some things are going to be sexistic, harrasing or glorifying violence, drugs and alcohol: it wasn´t at all at the time! It was just understood as hard but funny satire... 😉

I am Croatian who was born and raised in Germany and I grew up with Kaya. Kaya is by far one of THE BEST comedians Germany has to offer.
Also his take on Croatian languages is not wrong. I remember when I saw this part on german television the first time I almost peed myself.
Slavic languages in general are very difficult to learn and some words even for us natives are difficult hahahahha but it is true ...some words dont have vowels hahahhahahha.
I actually didnt know he did stand up in English as well. In German this particular one is even funnier.
He started out with a show that was called "Was guckst du?" which means " What are you looking at" and he played an Indian character named Ranjid and many more. His indian accent is one of the most loved one.
I hope you check more of Kaya out. It is def worth it.

meaning he didn't solve the problem of his wive sounding good.
For those who don't know, swiss german is mostly unintelligible to most germans, at least in spoken form. Has a similar problem as croation as in alot of vowels seem to be missing. My theory is that the bavarians once raided switzerland and took all their vowels, which is why the bavarian accent is mostly vowels and swiss german is very consonant heavy, at least in the spoken form.

As stated by many others he had multiple shows in the tv and had a lot of different characters he played. He is actually streaming content on twitch from time to time so if you wanna talk to him you can get him there by chance actually and maybe he will gove you some impressions of his old work :)

Funny thing. I have never seen Kaya presenting fully in English language before. But he is really one of the funniest comedians in Germany and I do like him a lot!!!

This is really interesting, Iam from germany and I know Kayar Yanars German Shows, but I don't know that he also performing in english and also with such an "german history" - based programm. But it's very interesting ^^
So Iam part of this hilarious chain - A german, that watches on an foreign country RUclips channel about german content (if Iam right) an well known german comedian, who is performing in english with different accents about germany. xD

He did a show about scotland! I think it was called: Kaya Yanner goes to scotland. My family was there on hollydays when he shot his show (we didn‘t see anything, but we were told a part of the castle was closed off for a german comedian)- later we watched the show and it was GREAT! Please react to this! If there is a subtitled version of it.

If you ever want to watch something longer with him, I would recommend - with english subtitles then - "Reiz der Schweiz" (~ Charm of Switzerland). I've grown up with Kaya and he is still funny, 20+ years later. :D

He is really funny. Less political than the ones you looked at before. One of his specialities is to pretend to be a Indian guy. Like the short moment in this clip in english, he can do this perfectly in german with indian accent, too.

Kaya has a RUclips and Twitch Channel these days and the situational comedy he creates on the spot is amazing.
One of my favs of his was when he moved his studio and couldn't find a way to connect his gaming controller to his computer because he couldn't find the cable in his moving boxes....it turned into 20 minutes of pure improvised comedy lmao

I love Kaya. He is starring in some famous RUclips videos eg Julien bams and he has his own gaming and reaction streams and RUclips channel. He had his own TV show in German main stream television.
