Hi guys how are you!! Here's a little life update vlog + flat hunting update from this past week. Hope you enjoy this cosy vlog vlog from the first days of spring in London 💐🌈🌸
I'd love to see the flats you're touring! I hope you've been taking videos to do a compilation after you've found your new place :) Best of luck to you and Theo on finding a fabulous and somewhat affordable flat very soon!!! 💜🩵💚
A few weeks you said that you are trying to up your vlogging game and I can tell, amazed by how you’re able to outdo yourself with these vlogs!! It’s so goooddd!
honestly it's expensive because you keep listing all the bougiest neighbourhoods. South London, East London, or Shepherds Bush, Ealing, all would be cheaper than where you seem to be looking.
Why should she live as far out as Shepherd's Bush or Ealing if she works in Central? With the way tubes are these days living far west is not always a good idea, even if it is cheaper. Speaking as someone who loves East London (think it's the best place to live in terms of newer buildings, more modern flats etc and a hub for start-up companies) and grew up in West.
@@melissatranfield4054 it was just an example - my point was all the places mentioned in this video are all the most posh and expensive places to live and expanding the search in literally any direction could bring the price down...
@@melissatranfield4054 what? “Far out” as Shepherd’s Bush?? Shepherd’s Bush is literally 15 mins away from central on the central line. It’s absolutely fine!
@@poobeye it almost feels as if living in London means living in the ‘posh’ areas. With these you just end up paying for the area and not for the actual place you live in!
Finally had the time to watch your vlogs while I clean my room! Your vlogs lately just inspired me to get work done + try to become more independent so I’m happy for that :’)
Finding a flat to rent in London is tough, even with a "normal" job. I only found my flat last year because I was lucky that the estate agent I called thought I would be a good fit for a flat that she didn't even put online yet. People are putting down up to a year in rent upfront, x% over asking price, it's ridiculous. I really hope you find something soon because if not, I would seriously consider moving out of Zone 1 even just to widen your search.
Hiya, just recently discovered your videos and thank you for all the useful info on London 🙏🏻 Moving to London in September to do my masters and it’s quite daunting so soaking up all your tips and recommendations :)
Where is the blue hoodie from? I love it. Btw, I completely understand what you are going through, living abroad is very difficult and having to move just when you are starting to feel like you have made a home its hard, but you’ll get through it and in no time you’ll have a place that you like better too 💕
We have a 1 bedroom flat near Canary Wharf! It’s not massive but does an on-site gym and concierge. It’s right next to the DLR station if I can remember. £1850 a month
Never had a problem renting as a freelancer, you give end-of-year tax returns for the last two years, or you pay a bit of rent upfront to offset the requirements (normally its 3 to 6 months upfront).
I kinda think you guys might find some really interesting awesome opportunity if you look at moving to Cote d'Azur, like Nice, or Cannes, or one of the smaller villages in between. There is much opportunity for business, and the area gives you vacation all year, plus, if you want snow and mountains for winter, French alps is just hour away on train. You get all benefits of city life, beaches on the Mediterranean, and the boutiful moutains and fields of Provence. Food is cheap and healthy too once you learn where the non-tourist areas to shop are, aaaand, the pace of life is soo much more relaxed.
go to citizen advice office and ask about you option. Landlord cant force you to move out even if you contracy is finish. You can live there minimum 6 months for free
Wow very beautiful home you make very nice videos i watch your video delhi thanks for this i am from india i will go to america to study then come to uk i love my
Hi ❤️the sweater with cherry🍒!!! Could you please let me know where it is from as I am Canadian and always on the look for amazing sweaters to wear !!! 😊
Insane to think that when I was 23 in 2006, so a couple years older than you, I paid £90 A WEEK for a room in zone 2. £360 a month. £90 per week is the equivalent to £166 today. I couldn’t afford more - and I had a job. Insane to think you can afford half of £500 a week!! Honestly, you really don’t need to live in zone 1 in London. The posh areas sound cool but you just end up paying loads for a literally cupboard to live in. It’s okay to live a bit further out - zone 2 for example!!! You get a little more space and don’t end up paying hundreds just for the area. It’s still London! And you don’t need to live walking distance to work etc. the tube is fast!
"Show me the tax returns for the last three years and then you're allowed to bid for the flat". This must be one of the most difficult place on the planet to just rent a room or two 🙄

I live in Shepherd’s Bush and it’s really nice. Super well connected, and you have everything you need including a huge mall if that’s what you like.

I had a lot of issues last year 🥲 2 landlords didn’t even want to rent to me because I wasn’t working a “secure” job

whats your job? 425 a week in london is nuts unless you earn a decent chunk!
She is self employed but also she lives with her boyfriend so the rent can be shared between the two.
you're struggeling to find something around these areas for £500/week? I wonder why... 😀
😀🙂🤩

The worst type of people.
Why?
