    thanks for that Kris, iv learnt something new today. I don't keep any of those plants as its always so wet here where i live. Its still handy to know how to distinguish the two ,in case I ever get a client asking me about them .

    Linearis is pretty bombproof in the UK

      Yes Bryan, unlike rostrata which is much more prone to rot.

    Another difference Kris is that linearis survives an Edinburgh winter but rostrata doesn't.

    Hey kris thanks for the great videos! I've just received a bare log dicksonia Antarctica tree fern, the first I have owned, had a question on whether I should plant it out now? Keep it as a log and put it Inside on the coldest nights or what is best to do with a fresh bare log tree fern at this time of year? Many thanks

      Keep it sheltered, well watered and bring under cover if it turns really cold

      @@YorkshireKRIS many thanks! Probably the wrong time of year to buy one but there was a sale 😂🤦‍♂️! Probably a strange/ silly question but can it be planted in a raised bed if kept well watered?
