Thanks for the good explanation. This video helped me the most out of the others I watched to finally clear it, though the Break trick only appeared to work once out of my 5 or so attempts, since he still seemed to somehow rage before the Break would hit. Although I struggled at the start of Wave 2 for a bit, I did finally get back on track and with much suspense cleared it around 7 mins, since I started to bungle it up with the specials in my anxiety and panic 😝
The break trick is something that comes with practice and is still a little rng: it's a speedrunning trick. I should have mentioned that even if the break doesn't go through, just rush to the lv2 and use it anyway. The enrage purge will help a lot with driver comboing and the DoT effect, while small, will still be usable.
Update 2: the break trick in wave 2 is slightly rng. If it fails and kurodil enrages early, just go through with getting to the lv2 and using it anyway. The starting DoT effect will be smaller, but will still be usable. Just focus on getting to overdrive and using elma lv2 specials as quickly as possible if that happens
UPDATE: Please replace the hunter's chemistry core on mythra with a Jamming core, and give the hunter's chemistry core to pyra instead. The Jamming core will give you good chances to evade the sniper shot in wave 3.
I know this is an old video but I could use some help if you’re willing. I’m usually getting through the challenge ok at the beginning but the problem starts when I get to wave 3. It’s usually as I’m fighting the wave 3 enemies after using Mythra’s level 2 special. I don’t know why but my Elma’s overdrive is always ending, even though the number is still high. That’s usually when the challenge begins to fall apart for me. I have all my blades maxed out and s+ trust and all that, so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help I’d appreciate. Thanks
You should make sure you're keeping your party gauge up, especially since kurodil's rage strikes can drain party gauge super quick. Also note that the duration of overdrive doesn't depend on the number, but on the lights on the side: as they start to run downward overdrive will run out, but you can refresh them with R+-. Also, the sniper in wave 3 can drain party gauge with his bullet, so equip a jamming core on mythra to try and avoid it. If possible, refresh overdrive some time before wave 3. If you have hot ruby steamed bun+victory smoothie on rex and tora you should have enough party gauge gains. wave 3 can drain party gauge via snipers and rage strikes and wave 4 locks two segments of your party gauge, so resetting overdrive before wave 3 can be very helpful.

You literally do not own the game
