Still see a few giant house spiders during their breeding season but have never seen a huge one. I think the cellar spiders limit them which is fine by me because cellars are way less creepy.
I always let a few stay around the house and just move them out with a broom when there are more than a few. A broom is really good at moving them without damaging their legs they are very easy to break other ways. I don't mind them.

No way, ANYTHING vs a web spider will almost always lose. Even if the web spider is spindly. The other bug is not just fighting the spider, they are fighting the web as well, and that's where they are screwed.

I'm not a fan of spiders in general, but am less freaked out by them than house spiders. I ve already seen one entangled in a web. So I try and leave cellar spiders be. They're more effective at killing other spiders than I am. When they run out of those they will even hunt each other

I caught an adult jumping spider this morning and put it in my ten gallon terrarium. I also put an adult cellar spider I found in my room for the jumping spider to prey on. There are a lot of White Tail spiders where I live in Australia and they have a scary habit of hiding in places like folded blankets and will often be in peoples beds. I check my bed every night just in case.
Honestly, I love watching animal documentaries...but I only ever watch this channel for the sound effects and 90% of the time I'm left satisfied and laughing.

We used to have these kinds of spiders in our house. They were called Daddy Longlegs probably because of their long legs. They can catch and wrap up a moth with surprising ease. If they catch a moth, they will *intentionally* turn it's body so that they can wrap across it's wingspan from it's head downwards. This special technique makes for a very fast wrap-up of a moth, and they recognize their victim's vibrations, and the second a moth lands in their web they come out and wrap it at a rapid pace, as I described above.
