    Ok so it looks a bit like the white tail spider was trying to find a warm place to sleep so the cellar spider was rapping it in wool where it will be nice and warm and then when it's done the cellar spider will kiss the white tail spider good night and it will fall asleep.

    My house (England) is overrun with cellar spiders. I just let them live here. Very rarely see pests like woodlice and silver fish. Still see a few giant house spiders during their breeding season but have never seen a huge one. I think the cellar spiders limit them which is fine by me because cellars are way less creepy.

    Not a lot of people know this, but what the cellar spider lacks in venom, he more than makes up for in wicked battle sounds. It's a rare occasion to hear their call, but in battle with other arachnids deemed worthy, the cellar spider will play the sound of its people with a special reverberation of the silk glands.

    Cellar spiders are really effective at taking out other spiders. They will even leave their nests and go hunting, even if it means invading other webs, if nothing comes their way.
    I'm not a fan of spiders in general, but am less freaked out by them than house spiders. I ve already seen one entangled in a web. So I try and leave cellar spiders be.

    We used to have these kinds of spiders in our house. They were called Daddy Longlegs probably because of their long legs. They can catch and wrap up a moth with surprising ease. If they catch a moth, they will *intentionally* turn it's body so that they can wrap across it's wingspan from it's head downwards. This special technique makes for a very fast wrap-up of a moth, and they recognize their victim's vibrations, and the second a moth lands in their web they come out and wrap it at a rapid pace, as I described above.

      they're the different type of cellar spider you know just cause of the appearance and name
      the one you often see is crane fly and harvestman(sub-species)
      the normal species of cellar spiders dont live in urban places
      they're just called cellar spider because they live beneath rock ledges

    • @baikennep4489
      @baikennep4489 8 лет назад
