The Great Creator has lovingly placed a high and holy calling on everyone! Steve Hughes life verse describes this: “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him” (2 Peter 1:3 NIV). This godly, higher life is my desire for everyone.
Many Native Americans are marked with a sense of hopelessness, having lost their identity and much more. Sadly, only an estimated 4% have a relationship with Christ. Next-generation believers desire to reach all people, including Native Americans. They simply need help discovering their high and holy calling and becoming equipped for ministry.
Two separate streams have run concurrently throughout Steve Hughes’ life:
1. Growing up in a Christian home with a godly heritage, discipleship and missions was always important to him. God has placed within him a desire to encourage and mobilize people to experience their highest potential in Christ.
2. Pastor Steve’s interest in Native Americans began when he was seven years old on a family vacation to a village in North Carolina, where his dad had a friend who was a missionary to the Cherokee. His passion for Indigenous Peoples to truly know Jesus still remains.
After forty years of international ministry, our faithful God is bringing these two streams together and is leading Steve to the great Southwest to fulfill His calling for his life.
