    Girl I was born in Jackson and raised in Texas, now I am living in South Korea. I have learned that prejudice is everywhere and it mostly comes from what they have seen on tv about us. Thank you for supporting black businesses.

      Oh yea, so you already know what I’m talking about lol South Korea! Cool! Sadly it really is, not matter how much we try to educate, many remain ignorant and prejudiced as a result of TV and social media. Glad you enjoyed!

    I live in MS and your comments are spot on. We have got to do better and I'm doing my part daily. I'm also loving the TGIN daily moisturizer. It's great for my low porosity hair. I haven't tried it as a styler for twists yet, but I do plan on doing that. Your hair is beautiful!

    Nature's little secret. Their Irish moss styling cream is bomb. It's long lasting and it gives a lot of definition and hold! I have thick, dense 4a low porosity hair for reference. Your hair reminds me of my hair when I big chopped and got to know my texture for the first time 😍. It hasn't looked as healthy as yours in years though lol

      Aww Thank you! My hair profile can be found in my description box. I typically don't discuss my hair type anymore for the sake of avoiding the natural hair community that thinks they can figure out your hair life story just from a few video clips 🙄🤣 that being said.... I accept that because of our variety, no one can truly claim they have only 1 hair type.The majority of my hair is 4c but 4b is mixed throughout my hair, mostly in the top front. I had the bright idea to box dye my ends. Unfortunately, as a result of chemical damage, the texture at the ends are a bit weaker and appear as if my entire head is 4b. I hope that answers your question! 🤗

    What is you hair type as in is it low porosity? I have very dry low porosity hair and I can’t seem to find a product that make my curls pop for wash and go.

    • @haileychanelle
      @haileychanelle  4 года назад +4

      Hey! Yes I have very low porosity hair. The best thing I have found for my low porosity hair is deep conditioning. If I don’t deep condition, no amount of moisture or water can make my hair behave or flourish lol and I have to deep condition weekly just to make sure my hair doesn’t have a “dry spell”. That being said, ECO style gel and Wetline Xtreme are the ONLY gels that I can use by themselves to make my curls pop. But, I'd be a horrible person If I didn't tell you that by themselves they are very drying and can dry out your ends.😬To combat that, I often couple them with a light leave in + moisturizer and I don’t apply the gel every week.I also spray my hair with water throughout the week to keep up the hydration. On alternate weeks I opt for more moisture and less definition by using a leave in+moisturizing cream without the gel or I jus talk out the house with conditioner in my hair lol Either way, without gel I end up with more volume/moisture and less definition by the middle of the week.🤷🏾‍♀️ I like the curl enhancing smoothie by shea moisture but again, the hold doesn’t last very long because its not a gel. That is what works for me. I hope all of that made sense lol Let me know if you try it and if it works for you! 🤗

      @@haileychanelle Also , I watched your afro video, is the comb supposed to go through your hair ? According to some forums , for you to know when your hair is properly detangled, your comb should pass right through.. I currently use a pick to detangle cause my hair is still quite short for any other things , the pick passes through the top of my hair but it doesn't at the sides and back, those are where the tangles and single strand knots are.. Is this normal

      @@paballojr.497 I understand we've all been there! lol Don't Feel Helpless!

    • @haileychanelle
      @haileychanelle  4 года назад

      @@paballojr.497 The comb should only go through your hair when you're detangling. but if it's days later and you're refreshing your style, just make sure it's moderately detangled like the first part of the Afro video. It is completely normal! 4c hair has the potential to be KNOT CITY. Without making sure your hair is properly hydrated(with water to keep your hair from snapping) and using a product with slip, that comb isn't going ANYWHERE lol Notice in the video I take the time to let my hair absorb the products before I start manipulating it. Also, I wasn't worried about it being thoroughly detangled, I just wanted it to appear like it was which you can get away with by only ticking out the ends. I know this sounds counterproductive but your hair doesn't have to be completely detangled all of the time. If you thoroughly detangle your hair no more than twice a week and find a hairstyle that helps you keep it detangled, especially at night, it will help. constantly detangling can make your hair weak. What style are you trying to accokplish that requires you to thoroughly detangle your hair?
