  • Giving a few tips if you're the first time installer of an aftermarket molded carpet kit in your tri 5 Chevy. I'm not a pro but have installed a few. This would cover lots of other vehicles as well

    Excellent video. 1 tip I have for doing carpet work is to heat up an awl or Phillips screw driver and using it to put a hole in the carpet for bolt holes.

    Let me give you some advice you buy a jiffy steamer if you're in the cold weather a jiffy steamer works magic

    Very helpful tips,can you use the heat gun to slightly reshape the carpet?i modified the floor pan shape in order to mount bucket seats

    I can't find a one-piece, molded, cut-pile carpet anywhere. Where did you get it?

    Daytona Weave would be original for 55.

      @@haffrods7055 I was just commenting not on your choice, which looks great, btw, but to your statement about the loop carpet, which I believe came out with the 57 model year. I actually prefer the cute pile to the loop. Had that in a 56 and didn't care for it. The Daytona Weave I got was nice, but two pieces with the gap in between as you described, which was fine for me. I actually want the car to be as much like orginal as possible, warts and all. But I certainly can appreciate the car you are building. That things gonna be gorgeous!

      @@thomasparker5208 I had to research this. There was loop and Daytona carpet in 55 cars. The Daytona was an option.
