"Love is not safe." something to think about.
The word of God / the bible is so importent today so holy for many christians that they can not see or hear the Spirit or move with the Spirit. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life !
A Catholic that puts safety first is not even a Christian.
Our Lord was pinned for disregarding that principle.
Who are we to hide behind a broken shield?
Love…the safety of those most dear to us…the frail, elderly, the children. We love and want those dear to us to be safe. We pray for the safety of our police and firefighters, the emt’s , doctors and nurses. We applaud those who provide safe havens for those in need. Those are all Christian values.
This love to keep your loved ones safe, should not keep them away from God
I think the point is about keeping oneself safe at all costs. True love risks everything, including one's own life, for the other.
Yes, that is love - to give your life for others. But the discussion in this video goes deeper, and these comments remind me about the parable of the sower. "Whoever has ears ought to hear.”
@@monicapopovici4660 Yes. I agree with you. I do understand that we must be willing to unite our sufferings to Christ on the Cross and be His Will in the world. Yes! I do have ears and I do hear - and pray daily to hear More and More.

My church gad a retreat and that was the first question.
I have to say: before the pandemic, people weren't always telling me: be safe! And though I love my Catholic Church, going along with the lock-downs: was their way of always telling people to: be safe! In a sense 'they' were saying, "Don't speak out about the wrongness of that action. Let's just keep everyone safe."
I think that I watched Bishop Barron on average once a week or more. He is one of my favorites. But I do have to say that I think that was kind of an 'odd' question..about being safe, considering what the Church did during the pandemic. And as you can see: it's a memory of us who were shut out of receiving the Body and Blood of Jesus: that will always stay with some of us...when the Church with bold exceptions on the part of some priests/Bishops: didn't open churches..or say Masses.... Although, maybe many, many priests looked to keeping the flock safe! So, maybe we are talking about what the leaders, Bishops, Priests, thought during the pandemic which led to so many people just feeling that being safe was the over-riding goal in life.. It may not be a Christian way to think, but the Church did lead people to think, FIRST, of keeping safe!

💯. Just like we still have priests who are refusing to give communion on the tongue when we're receiving the body and blood of Jesus. The most Sacred Being whom we should be putting all our trust in. Viva Cristo Rey 🙏📿✝
