I see Warner Bros. are releasing The Hitcher in the US . I prefer the artwork that Umbrella used, which is the original UK quad artwork for The Hitcher. I wasn't that fust with the Second Sight art. Plus, the commentary tracks on the UK version of The Hitcher via SS have the two commentary tracks ported over from the Momentum DVD release from the UK back in 2006. Hauer did two great films with Dutch maestro Paul Verhoeven, one being, probably, the best Dutch war film ever made, Soldier of Orange. Then Verhoeven pushed the boundaries with Turkish Delight. I had some admiration for Hauer as an actor after seeing Soldier of Orange. He is committed and rather focused, but always thinking outside the box with his acting skills. Verhoeven didn't need to push too much.
