Thank you. I am a 46 year old woman who has a 14 year old son. I have now been receiving Herceptin for over two years and will be apparently for the rest of my life. The best bit of saying the last sentence is that you gave me more life. Life that I can share with those I love. Everyday is precious. Without your research I would not be writing this comment. Thank you and God Bless You

Thank you for doing this video. I am a ten year survivor with metastatic breast cancer, Her2 negative but several of the women I have met with mbc have had their longevity and quality of life improved by Herceptin. My friend with the longest survival time, 13 years, lived to see two of her three children married and to hold her first grandchild. She sailed, entertained and keep the books for a family business during most of those 13 years. I am very grateful for having had time to get to know her.

I don't have MS, my mother does. I live with chronic lower back pain: 2 herniated discs, 1 bulging disc. When it's bad, my back spasms and left leg goes numb and I stumble. I still get around, go snow skiing, hiking, walk my dog. I don't take meds. Some people with the exact same diagnosis take drugs, live sedentary lives, complain a lot, don't do much. When we compare notes, rather than listen and try new things, they say my condition is different, theirs is worse, I don't understand. I know 4 people living with with MS: female 28, male 37, male 60, mom 88. All 4 tried different drugs, joined groups, got involved. I watched them get diagnosed after severe attacks for MS, then I watched them get busy learning. The initial "attack" was the worse day they ever had as they seemed to get better, not worse. All 4 swear that moving around is the key: stay as active as possible and eat right. None are in wheelchair, they, work, recreate, live fairly normal lives, have a "bout" of MS every few years. I've been to the conferences and meetings too. I help raise money for MS. But whenever I talk to people who seem to struggle more than my "4", they dismiss exercise/diet and say theirs is worse than my mother's, etc. Docs have known for 50+ years that diet and exercise, along with a healthy mindset cures many, if not most forms of cancer. What's the take on MS?

the new gene therapy is coming. wow this is almost exactly the same journey what gleevec the drug for leukemia had to go through. both are miracle drugs for targeted gene. Both doctors are amazingly compassionate doctors.
