The thing that I like about your videos is your open mindnes towards other designs and ideas. I tire of the brand guys that become rabid when discussing bikes that are not what they are ridding. I’ve watched a few of your videos on the improvements on your Harley-pretty impressive. I’ve never owned a HD, but have wrenched on a few and have ridden a few and I like them all! For the record I ride a 07 goldwing on long hauls with the wife and for hour rides etc I get on a 09 Yamaha Raider. I could care less about brand, as long as your riding! Be safe!
I work at a Harley dealership, but my personal bike is a 1999 Honda Valkyrie Interstate (stripped down Goldwing with more power) and I love the bikes Harley has, and I ride a lot of them, they’re all fun. None of them have made me want to trade away my Valkyrie.
Test rode the new wing on a whim one day. I traded my FLTRXS the very next day for it... 18 months of ownership and I can tell you, if you haven’t rode one, go demo one... I’m just warning ya.. you’ll probably buy one
Great review. I ride an 09 Ultra and I too test rode a DCT Goldwing. I loved it. I think it’s ironic the Harley dealership is right next door to the Honda dealership. Noticed that in your video. Good job on the review!
Traveling Tall Great Vid! Appreciate your honest opinion. A lot of People even if they really like the other Brand will still talk bad about it. Enjoying your Channel. One Love.
Traveling Tall, also check out the 2017 Goldwing/F6B. It is totally different then the 2018 Goldwing. It's a bigger bike than the 2018 and newer model. I have the F6B and with it's different seat it has more room than all of them.
Nice nice video Like the fact that you are a bike enthusiast! It’s refreshing. I get the best of both worlds I ride a Harley for work which I love and I have a 2013 Honda gold wing! Also a 2004 Honda rune! I get to ride a 2019 Harley Davison road king at work! And man I love the ride it gives! So I appreciate the total love for bikes you give! And your street glide is pure 🔥 🔥! Love the channel keep up the great great vids! Be blessed bro!
Great video Brother I am really Liking the new GW I'm 5'9 so the knee thing won't be a issue for me going to try out the DCT also thinking about the Africa Twin going to give that a shot too I have some pretty country side in MO that I think the Adventure Bike might be fun on. God Bless Brother

I know this post is old but thanks TT for an objective first look review. I'm surprised the saleman didn't mention the forward/reverse "walk" and hill assist features.
Don’t believe that. On the way from Sturgis a Goldwing rider came into my lane and said ‘Let’s go” I dropped a gear and pulled clean away from him on my stock 2019 CVO Limited. When we stopped he asked what do I do to it to make it beat a Goldwing.
@@alfonsodennis8450😂 the cvo’s are nice. But that’s like a 10-15,000 difference. Most Harley’s are less than 100hp. You paid even more to have some actual performance.

I just purchased my 2021 Goldwing from that same dealership. I bought the grey "Standard" model then added the tour pack. SWEET RIDE! Two Harley's before this. Three Honda's before that.
I found this somewhat ironic. I was tired of motorcycles that were more like cars comfort and no longer about motorcycling. I rode just about every type of HD made except the duel cam. I started with a 1942 45 flat head then a 74 '47 knuckle, a 63 FL pan head , then numerous shovelheads, started with a new 1976 the last one being a 84 shovelhead. Then '89 ultra evolution followed by a '84 Ultra. I quit riding for several years later on. When I turned '66 they came out with the new M8's and I fell in love with this new engine. I decided to buy a m8 2018 Deluxe softail and add the things I felt necessary for long trip touring other than all the non essential things. No stereo, just the sound of my engine. I even left that stock so I wouldn't go deaf from the outrageously loud exhausts everyone seems to like. I wear a half helmet so those noisy exhausts would make me deaf in no time. I think the Honda is just a glorious two wheeled car as is most Ultra's. My deluxe rides great, handles great and has plenty of power. I'm quite happy riding just over the speed limit, about 8 km over the limit. I realize everyone wants the one up tow and that's the kind of riding experience they seek. I like the Keep it simple and good mileage along with the sufficient power I get from my bike, not a two wheeled luxury car!
Grew up owning Hondas... didn't ride a Harley until my late 50s. Of all the Harleys I have ridden the Road King is what I ride now. I have a problem with nureopathy in my feet and hands and get cramps in my hands from holding the clutch in during stop and go traffic.. live in Los Angeles. So all of the traffic kills my clutch hand. So the DCT model will be my next and probably last bike. You forgot to test out the reverse which is something I really have missed from the last Goldwing I owned. Since I will be approaching my 60s in another year.. I need all the help I can get. Will miss the rumble of the Harley but Hondas will get Android Auto in June so I can stream Spotify instead.
I'm curious why Harley has not developed an auto, all the years they have been in business....I'm taking a wing out in a month from now and can't wait. A good vid with a honest view.
You addressed exactly what I was wondering. How a tall man would fit at the knee's. Hope there is a solution to that. I enjoy your reviews and appreciate your congenial way.
They felt ok, I forgot my gloves, and it was a cold day. When I got back to the dealership, I found out the grips was heated. That would have been good to know! Thanks for watching Jacques.
Personally I never cared for the foot positioning on the Goldwing, it’s made for shorter riders. Do you think you would have been able to shift in the position your feet were in? If I rode a Goldwing it would be a beater for commuting, but only as a 2nd or third bike.
Yes, I could shift if it was a manual. I wouldn't be ideal but I could manage. If they made a seat that set me back a little, I think my knees wouldn't have hit the side fairing.
As I watched ur video on SG reviews lately.. Since 2020 WFH ac Covid-19 no bikes ride although... I should get my 2020 SG 114...thinking of GW when I get older bro... When i don't need that clutch.. Aporpo!!
I’m curious about how the bike feels down shifting. Is there a lot of engine breaking? Do the shift points feel comfortable slowing down and accelerating through the corner
As current owner of a 2018 manual transmission Goldwing.... i highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a touring bike. Be aware that the bike has limited storage and a smaller tank. If you can live with those two drawbacks, it's an excellent bike!

Sir, Didn't you find the knee bend to be TOO much? I'm over 6'1" and I really DON'T like how much my knees are bent on the G/W. You're several inches TALLER, and I thought you'd find the knee bend to be truly uncomfortable. Thank you for the video!
The difference between a Lexus 350F or Infinity Q70 (Gold Wing) and a Mustang GT or Camaro SS (Harley). If you like refined muscle or you like in your face muscle. Being under the radar or On the radar.
I've had a lot of bikes over the years...Honda, Kawasaki, Harley, etc. lots of fun, many miles...but the bikes kept getting bigger and heavier. I finally gave them up...sold my Softail last fall. A smaller guy like me has to have a shorter seat height, and lighter weight...and a lot of these bikes are now just too much.
Not sure how tall you are, but was planning on getting between a 2013-2016 goldwing f6b, im 6-4, 34in inseam, starting to think my kegs my be to long, what do you say?
Traveling Tall , you would think that an old school guy like myself could easily find that bike with character.... chrome, lots of chrome... simplistic old design, the bike that just says, “l belonged to your grandad once”.... that was the Road King for me. The thing is, it’s not really Harley anymore? You walk into any dealer and you get the distinct impression that they are working so hard to meet the desires of a current generation... everything’s all blacked out, all computerized... the stereo/GPS is now front and center ... heated grips... I think we’re slowly losing what really made motorcycling great.... the ride. That Road King was literally the only chromed bike on the floor...... just a windshield, a place to throw some gear,... and let’s not leave out a good comfy pillion for my best friend to be... there’s good stuff right there😊
How did you like the wing . I notice you had knee hitting but when I mentioned that there's no other like it I am not sure how tall YOU are but I'm 6.1 and I have the 1st generation goldwing and I have room and ergo pegs because I am tall and I also have a lot of protection from wind . I don't know if you are planning on riding in the cold but I do and that's why I brought a goldwing not to mention the superb comfort . And bells and whistles. I'm so happy you like the ride. No shacking everything is quite I love it.
@@TravelingTall I'm a Harley rider also, but like the Goldwing's. You have to add the Highway pegs. Your knees would be fine then. My buddy who rides a Goldwing showed me the difference. I don't know why Honda doesn't put them on the bikes standard bc it would be a big selling piece. That's most peoples complaint.
Until you get one on a curvy mountain road.. then they fee like a sport bike whist the big V twins feel and handle like an oil tanker. I love them all but eventually came back to the wing. So much fun to ride
The japanese still don't get what we want in styling., I do like how they exposed enough of the steering linkage to see it's engineering ., they got rid of the over abundance of buttons ,to some extent..now they need to expose the engine a little more, & find out what chrome after market parts look good to the americanadian public. Then offer these same parts through their own channels. They seem to go from extreme transformer toy like design ,all the way too full custom with nothing in between. Then there is the harley decker lookalike ,which is ok ,but looks like just a, "me too" copy....I think the current model is a step in the right direction, & a lot of progress has been made to get away from having it look like it was assembled from more, & more & more, bits & pieces precisely fit together. But out of too many pieces.Heck we'll buy it anyway cause of the overwhelming excellence of the engineering, & the overall quality., but please don't mistake this for liking the styling...
Like driving a car on two wheels. To many buttons and knobs for my liking. Harley's 2014 Rushmore is doing fine for me. Feels like a bike, sounds like a bike, rides like a bike. Has attitude. Besides, Harley made of about 50 pieces, compared to the wing made of a 1,000 pieces. Ask a mechanic.
I have a 2015 f6b and I'm good BUT I'm 6,5 and the new wing is to small and has no provision for highway pegs 30 years of goldwings I DON'T LIKE THE NEW WINGS
It’s like a Lexus F model versus a Chevy Camaro. The Lexus F so high tech, tight, stealth, smooth and slick it sells itself once you drive it. The Chevy Camaro has got the cool factor and raw in your face LS motor. You must decide what speaks to your inner voice. The Thoroughbred or the Quarter Horse.
You are right! I usually ride with gloves but I forgot to put them on before my test ride. To be honest, when its hot outside I usually don't ride with a jacket. I've been looking into getting a warm weather jacket. Thanks for watching.
LOl, the same reason you have a Stingray as your thumbnail and not a Prius. Because they're cool, classic, looks great, sound awesome, fun and American! Thanks for watching and for commenting.
Yes, my Stingray is cool and can't be bought at a dealership, it's a Classic, Harley's are everywhere they all look alike for the most part and can be bought anywhere... Honda Goldwings are superior in every way, Harley's, well, they just make Lawyers and dentists not look like lawyers and dentists on the weekends...
Where your gloves fam. If u was riding that Harley you'd of had them.. You downplaying Honda.. ?? 🤣😂 I ride a honda vtx1300.. built up like a street glide..
It's become an interesting concept hasn't it. I think that they are going after the terribly unreliable BMW crowd with this "performance touring bike." It strikes me as the sort of luxury performance tourer that the Victory Vision would have eventually evolved into and I suppose that's a good thing. I really enjoy the vids of you riding with your family; Good times.

That Road King was literally the only chromed bike on the floor...... just a windshield, a place to throw some gear,... and let’s not leave out a good comfy pillion for my best friend to be... there’s good stuff right there😊
Nice bike but I prefer my 2018 road glide ultra twisted cherry.
Thanks for watching Gilbert.
Good.I have a 2019 road glide ultra with the cvo yellow painting.
I'm 6 foot 5. I ride in the cold and I have to say the wind protection was great.
Yeah man, "tall" is in your name!
I'd love to move to this bike one day. At 5' 6", I doubt I'll have that same issue. 😉
My friend has a Goldwing, he is 5’11” I am 6’3” and to tall for the bike. I love the Goldwing but I am not that comfortable on it.
It's a tough fit for tall people. Thanks for watching.
The gold wing is a great bike, no doubt. But it feels and sounds like a Honda car, and less as a motorcycle.
It has a lot of features, I say why people like them but I couldn't fit on it comfortably. Thanks for watching Peter.
Until you get one on a curvy mountain road.. then they fee like a sport bike whist the big V twins feel and handle like an oil tanker. I love them all but eventually came back to the wing. So much fun to ride
Traveling Tall How tall are you?
I have that same problem with Goldwings their not really for really tall people 😢
Rode a goldwing once. And yea, easy to ride , cumfy . Hate admitting to it. That's all I'm going to say.
I like the bike..Really like the bike then I looked at the MSRP and didn't like it anymore ! Lol
Harley on a Gold Wing? Ain't Nothing Wrong with Flying a Golden Harley Wind! America La North.
Goldwings are hard to beat and ride nice. But i do have an issue as you mentioned the knee's hitting and i feel uncomfortable riding it.
Yeah they are nice. They are not for long legged people like me. Thanks for watching.
DCT changed my life, bad clutch hand.
Actually that is "goldwing tour", goldwing is a bike without trunk, replace of f6b
It looks like a 2 wheeled civic
mopar340dave, mm, but bigger , lol/
I have a 2015 f6b and I'm good BUT I'm 6,5 and the new wing is to small and has no provision for highway pegs 30 years of goldwings I DON'T LIKE THE NEW WINGS
It’s like a Lexus F model versus a Chevy Camaro. The Lexus F so high tech, tight, stealth, smooth and slick it sells itself once you drive it. The Chevy Camaro has got the cool factor and raw in your face LS motor. You must decide what speaks to your inner voice. The Thoroughbred or the Quarter Horse.
Hey I like both of the cars! Thanks for watching.
No gloves...no jacket....not a good advert for safe riding !!!!
You are right! I usually ride with gloves but I forgot to put them on before my test ride. To be honest, when its hot outside I usually don't ride with a jacket. I've been looking into getting a warm weather jacket. Thanks for watching.
BIKERMETOO and no brain bucket! Yikes!
Traveling Tall and no brain bucket! Yikes!
I'm hopeful that he says his prayers
Vaya con dios
Why would anyone ride a rickety Harley after riding that spaceship?
Pride of ownership is a thing. Not knocking the Honda Gold Wings at all; but a big, plastic motorcycle doesn't do it for me.
Nice bike but not auto trans
Thanks for watching.
It's become an interesting concept hasn't it. I think that they are going after the terribly unreliable BMW crowd with this "performance touring bike." It strikes me as the sort of luxury performance tourer that the Victory Vision would have eventually evolved into and I suppose that's a good thing. I really enjoy the vids of you riding with your family; Good times.
unemployment (made in japan) goldwing is no longer made in U.S.A.
Thanks for watching.
No signals, changes lanes, no gloves, no safety gear, speeds.... Yeah... not impressed. Bad example for other young riders.
Nice bike but Definitely Not My Cup of Tea! 👎
Is that an automatic transmission? Gross
