This reminds me of my baby girl I lost 2 years ago.
I’ll love you forever
I’ll love you for always
As long as I’m living
My baby you’ll be

How many years will it take before this book stops making me cry?
No matter how hard I try, I will always end up crying while reading this book!
srbarkerchan every single year since kindergarten some how I see this book and it makes me cry
I must say, my mother always read this book to me when I was a child. Now I am 30 years old. I am 6 feet and 3 inches tall. every year on my birthday, January the 5th, I go over to mother's house, who is 60 years old and doing fine, and I pick her up in my arms and rock her back and forth, back and forth, and as I do that, I always tell her, " I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my Mommy you'll be." and will continue to do so until either she or I dies. A very excellent story, in my humble opinion.
That is so amazing! You are an amazing son. It sounds like your mother raised a great man.
Dan Wacker That is so sweet! 😢😢😢

Miss reading this to my kids. My oldest is 22 and my youngest is 15. Always cradled and rocked them while I read it to them😢
my mommy used to sing that song to me since she adopted me she still does💑😳😃😊
If you don't tear up reading this book, especially as you get older, you just ain't human. Now to go and hug my mommy!
My therapist had me read this a couple of years ago. It was right after one of my Dad's trips to the hospital. I remember having to carry him, and how strange it felt as I remembered all the times he'd carried me when I was little.
I read this book in second grade and I remember specifically bawling my eyes out at the end. My teacher and friend were comforting me it was hilarious. I’ve been looking for it ever since and couldn’t find it, so I’ve been heartbroken. Just a few minutes ago my mom sent a text saying “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be” when I texted her I was on the school bus safely. I was like “I know that...” and I had created my own tune for it but couldn’t quite remember that I created it so I looked it up and finally found it. I’m so happy...
I just made my daughter cry by crying to this book..OMG it's deep.
*tears* I remember hearing this story long ago and now I have a daughter of my own, it puts things in perspective.
Couldn't even make it to page two without bawling my eyes out! Love this book!

I've actually never read this book before, and I haven't cried yet. Though I found this story very moving. But, now I'm ten years old and I realized I should appreciate every second of my life with my mother, and father.
This is my favorite book ever ❤️✨
my mother used to read this book to me all the time when I was little. i never realised the significance and how truly touching this story was until recently. this really made me tear up. i love my mom so much
this book is so special it's like a true story but in reality.
this book makes me cry each time
As a small kid I didn't understand the story and then now that I am older and now I understand its a sad story that his mom died when she was singing the song and couldn't finish it
I work as a teacher and this happens to be one of my favorite books. You can't help but get emotional and yours eyes becomes watery when you read it.
Why am I crying so much right now?
I USE TO HAVE THIS BOOK IN MY CHILDHOOD.
me to 😭😭😭
I can't tell you how many times I cried when my mom read this to me.
My mom always used to sing this to me. This always gets me in my feelings. Thank you!
Loved it! Gotta go, now. I have to go cuddle with my baby boy.
That's cute
Such a sad book
I'm crying rite now
I was given this book for a baby shower gift with my first son. I had 3 sons now ages 27,25,& 22 I read/sang it to all 3 of them just about every night. As adults now I sing the song to them on their Birthdays or whenever the mood arises lol. I am now expecting my very first Grandchild in July. Of course I had to buy my soon to arrive Granddaughter her own book. I will read it to her just as I did my own children and I hope once I leave this world that her Mommy & Daddy will continue to and that she will grow up knowing that I loved her forever !
I remember my grandma reading me this when i was 6 and i thought it was stupid and was bored of it. Im not that old, but im 14 now and i really like this story and even makes me tear up because one day my mom will be old and die and i have to accept death. I dont really see a point in life if we all just die anyway.
