The brush I am using to wet the paper by hand is a brush I bought in Japan, but you can get a similar one here in the UK handprinted.co... and in the US you can find similar at www.washiarts....

Thank you so much for all the instruction
Thanks Laura, an informative piece. Hadn't thought of freezing damp paper before. Give me lots of ideas for some on my previous woodblock prints that I just didn't have the stamina to do (a past reduction woodblock with eight impressions). Will contemplate that lovely print (of an Australian native grass in bloom) again with this in mind. Mould was the greatest issue and I attempted it a number of times without managing to beat the mould. Thanks for the light bulb moment!
Thanks, Laura, Very informative. Am I right in thinking that the next video of you printing the Mokulito/ woodblock will be out next Friday? Best wishes to you and Ben. Richard
Yes films out on Friday
Laura, thank you for this video - very helpful, as always. What about multi-layer or reduction prints? Do you damp the paper (eg. Fabiano Rosaspina) for each layer?
I never damp paper for linocut and with a multi layer print for mokulito or mokuhanga, I keep the paper damp throughout
