Never heard of rarebyte before :D might checkout we are screwed, looks fun, also i always want to support some dev studios from austria (as an austrian myself). Being successful as a indie dev / game studio is tough! Best of luck to you, rarebyte :D
@@eduardobarboza9499Exactly! I have no idea if the game she’s working on is good or not, but this short gives me the impression she’s not actually doing much to help develop it. So if the games does end up being good I’m inclined to believe it wasn’t really thanks to her.
You people are dumb, there's no correlation between being addicted to work and actually having good output. Plenty of people work themselves into burnout and end up publishing bad work as a result.
@ You are an absolute idiot.Literally every single noteworthy person in any activity was, at some point, the hardest worker in their vicinity at the very least. The only place where you can pothead your way to success is the music industry, and even that's debatable. You are living in some alternate reality.
Hello Rarebyte, fantastic video! It’s great to give aspiring game devs a glimpse into the daily life of an indie developer. We Are Screwed! looks incredible-keep up the amazing work. Cheers and much love from a fellow indie developer in Denmark!
no socials nor instagram nor youtube, that's what i need to do. Too much "social" which is not in fact. but for youtube it takes me too much time compared to what i got to do in my game. F RUclips, insta and all that sh**. Thanks girl for the video. I wish i could work in a studio but i got my own game I develop since many years. Have a nice day
First you have to understand that there's a big difference between "Game Development" and "Programmer" Yes, they are both related to making games, but programming is just one piece of the game development puzzle. Game development is the process of making a game. Pick what you wanna do and look up beginner videos and just get started
Little late but if you really want to become a game developer picking an engine first is quite important (godot, unity, unreal etc) and then learning the programming basics from there (since each engine will likely have its own languages and set of challenges, why not directly start with that language?) Sure python basics will help but you'll have to spend more time to convert that knowledge to learn more syntax in another language!

But usually, an indie game developer procrastinates till the last millisecond and does all the work in the last millisecond
Sounds like every programming job to me lol
