I'm a newbie.....understanding the DAW is so important to getting to the creative process quickly....thanks for going through a few of the different functions of Logic!!! THAT helps alot.
Thank you brah... your video has inspired me to keep moving on with my passion. I had re sun lee found myself in a situation, with a family member, that was a soul go to for our beat making moments.Time fly, words pass. so now I have to jump back into this gift. which seems like day one all over again. Because of great man such as yourself, you have given me that push to motive my next step from here.May god bless and keep up the good work.
Great tut! Is quick sampler a new thing? I don't have it and im wondering if it might be because I might need to update version of logic x pro perhaps. Cheers.
Hi there! So I'm just getting into trying to get into making beats/electronic music. I have a large metal/rock background and have been playing for 16 years. I would like your thoughts on my feelings. It feels strange to me or disingenuous to use a loop like that for an original song. Is this common in hip hop or electronic music? Do you think this feeling is purely tied to my background in a rock/metal setting? I wanna start learning this kind of stuff with an open mind and am excited. I am very much out of my comfort zone here. Would love thoughts and words of encouragement as i don't wanna have caveman mentality that this is bad or something. I feel like I just need to be more educated in this type of atmosphere. Thanks! :)
Great video, however when im browsing the loops section, there's no audio coming back when I'm trying to play the loops. my outputs are fine because if I drag that loop onto the track, I can hear it when I press play, but as far as browsing the loops and previewing them. i don't hear anything. any tips on this?
hmm.. maybe when your playing the loop in the quick sampler with a midi keyboard or musical typing your playing an octave higher than where the sample is.. this happens to me sometimes and I just move down a few octaves and its easy to play..
So I'm a beginner and I always wondered was it okay to use the loops? Idk if it's just me but it makes me feel like a imposter. What's your guys opinion on this?
Hip Hop's origin is sampling so as long as the loops are royalty free or cleared and you flip them to make them new and unique .. you shouldnt have a problem.
