I only know maybe 15-20 songs by Yes but of the ones I know I have to say my favourite is "I've Seen All Good People", followed by "Roundabout". Those two songs are brilliant as far as I'm concerned. "Leave It" would also make my top cuts from them. "Heart of the Sunrise" is an awesome tune, come to think of it the only issue I have with their music is they have really long songs, sort of like Rush but I prefer Rush more.
Good list… but I would not divide Tales from Topographic Oceans into four since they are not individual songs or suites, but rather they are four interconnected movements of a single piece of music, a single rock symphony. My list would be: 1. Tales from Topographic Oceans (in its four-movement entirety) 2. Close to the Edge 3. The Gates of Delirium 4. Awaken 5. And You and I 6. Heart of the Sunrise 7. Starship Trooper 8. Sound Chaser 9. To Be Over 10. Siberian Khatru

First, I see that Yes have announced their 2024 UK tour as 'The Classic Tales of Yes' which presumably replaces the 'Relayer' tour which had been promised and postponed thrice. I'll not be happy unless all three Relayer tracks make an appearance and won't be buying the new album as a protest until I'm convinced of that. Second: 1: CTTE 2: Gates of Delirium 3: Sound Chaser 4: Heart of the Sunrise 5: Ritual 6: Awaken 7: And You and I 8: Starship Trooper 9: America 10:Long Distance Runaround
I hear you but… …this version of Yes should not attempt Relayer. It’s more than Geoff and Steve can handle. It really is. And they know it!!! That’s the real reason for the change…
@@TheProgCorner And I hear you! You're probably right that they couldn't handle some of the tricky bits but I still bought a ticket on the strength that they would try. I did see them in 1975 when they did GoD and Sound Chaser and remember them as epic at the time though Patrick Moraz and Steve Howe were at the top of their game then.
My first Yes show was 1976. I met Jon and Patrick that day. Happiest 13 year old kid in the world!!! The opened with Sound Chaser. It was pure magic!!!
Great list..not too many surprises. However, while I love Tempus Fugit, Machine Messiah and all of Drama, the clear cut standout #1 track for me is Into the Lens off Drama. No The Sweetness, no Release Release..some of the tracks off The Ladder like Face to Face and Lightning Strikes didn't make it either. Props for Changes, Turn of the Century, and including Mind Drive, although Mind Drive would be higher on my list.

Yes and Rush!!!! Two of the greatest bands ever!!!!
Good list… but I would not divide Tales from Topographic Oceans into four since they are not individual songs or suites, but rather they are four interconnected movements of a single piece of music, a single rock symphony.
My list would be:
1. Tales from Topographic Oceans (in its four-movement entirety)
2. Close to the Edge
3. The Gates of Delirium
4. Awaken
5. And You and I
6. Heart of the Sunrise
7. Starship Trooper
8. Sound Chaser
9. To Be Over
10. Siberian Khatru
I like what you did there!!!
@@TheProgCorner thank you, good sir!
1. Gates of Delirium
2. Ritual
3. To Be Over
4.And You And I
5. Starship Trooper
6. Turn of the Century
Nice!!!!!
Okay, let me try to make my own list before I watch so I won't be influenced. ;-)
1. Starship Trooper
2. And You and I
3. The Revealing Science of God
4. Heart of the Sunrise
5. Yours is No Disgrace
6. South Side of the Sky
7. Siberian Khatru
8. Roundabout
9. I've Seen All Good People
10. Long Distance Runaround/The Fish
HM: Close to the Edge; Perpetual Change; Time and a Word; Wondrous Stories
Fabulous.
@@TheProgCorner Thanks. As was your vid. And I'm sure you're right. It was Astral Traveller I was thinking about from Time and a Word. Brain cramp on my part. Based on your enthusiasm I'm really looking forward to this new one in a couple of weeks! 😃🥰😜
It’s better than it should be.
yes is tricky on rating songs, as the epics are not on the same level as the under 10 variety. They got tons of great of both.
A good point!!!
As of now:
1. Close to the Edge
2. The Gates of Delirium
3. Awaken
4. Heart of the Sunrise
5. And You And I
6. Starship Trooper
7. Roundabout
8. Yours is No Disgrace
9. Siberian Khatru
10. The Remembering
HM: Survival, The Prophet, South Side of the Sky, America, The Revealing Science of God, The Ancient, Ritual, Sound Chaser, To Be Over, Turn of the Century, Parallels, On the Silent Wings of Freedom, Machine Messiah, Into the Lens, Tempus Fugit
Fantastic!!!! You obviously understand.
There is no way I can pick my top 10 favorite Yes tunes put my top three are:
1. Close to the Edge.

Nice!!!!!
1- The Remembering
2- The Revealing Science of God

Beautiful. Nothing but perfection there!!!
@@TheProgCorner Thanks!
I hear you but…
…this version of Yes should not attempt Relayer.
I know this may sound redundant but Yes died when Chris passed and then sadly Mr. White 😢
Chris wanted Yes to last 100 years!!!
Lightning Strikes is a personal favorite!!! So upbeat!!! So fun!!!

You ok man ...just checking.
You’re new here.
I could never do this it's all perpetual change for me with their songs lol
I hear you!!!
Top ten or top twenty-five? :P
Yes.
I would not put close to the edge(the song) at the top it never spoke to me much, rank side 2 much higher though, like all tales songs better i think
I’ve always loved CTTE. Side Two is great also!!! But yeah, Tales is my favorite album ever…
I wonder why Yes is so disected like honestly is any of their music actually bad or is it just less good, feel the same about Maiden and Rush
It’s all great!!! And Rush and Maiden are two other bands I adore!!!!
No consideration for OTSWOF! Great video though!
I love that song but Yes has so many great tracks!!!
"Endless Dream" is top 5...you missed that...SH,AL is top 10.
I love the first 90 seconds of Endless Dream!!!
Machine messiah
Oh yeah!!!!
Why didn’t you just be honest and title the video top 25 yes songs 😳🤷🏼♂️
Play the music and quiet yourself.
Yes!!!!!
