Wow. I am still brand new, I have watched the first 12, (about 8 times each or more) made a book full of notes but I am so glad you did this update. Thanks. You are the guiding light in the darkness for me!!
Great to see you still doing the astro and pixinsight stuff - i always learn a lot. I am re-evaluating my naive FWHM only approach as we speak on M81. My measurement graph looks a bit different to yours - e.g. i don't seem to be able to add multiple measurements on the same graph (no add button). My pixinsight is up to date so i am guessing they have removed this feature or it is hidden somewhere i can't find. Anyway - thanks again Turns out i wasn't running the latest version of pixinsight (even though pixinsights update system said i was) - the missing controls are now present.
Thanks for an interesting video. I am wondering why when I pull up a raw fit image taken with my ASI 6200 and examine the FIT header info in PI I do not see an e-gain value at all. The field is different from what your FIT header info looks like. e-gain is not even listed for me. Could it be because you used NINA and I used the ASI capture ap to collect my data?
Sounds like the Metadata was not signed in the Fits header or you did not include it in the header string in NINA. this is what i use : $$DATEMINUS12$$\$$IMAGETYPE$$\$$TARGETNAME$$_$$TIME$$_$$GAIN$$_$$OFFSET$$_$$BINNING$$_$$EXPOSURETIME$$s_$$STARCOUNT$$_$$HFR$$_$$FRAMENR$$
I to learned Pixinsight through you tutorials several years ago. Good to see you back again!
Thanks for the updated video!
You guide was what got me into Pixinsight, so it's great seeing you doing well and making more videos :)
Thank you, Ookusa. ( I talk to much ...lol)

Any idea why my FITS header doesn't show the gain value? That's not in the list.
what software did you acquire your images with? NINA , SGP?
