his vehicle mode is also inaccurate
@@imteebee Grindor’s vehicle mode is supposed to be the CH-53E Stallion instead of BlackOut’s MH-53 Pavelow.
Hasbro was saving money by not doing a complete retool, of course. Wish they did to make it more screen accurate (including more "rustiness") but there's the weijiang oversize Blackout which I'm sure compensates well enough for screen accurate Grindor.
@@mvp305ajh that reason still doesnt excuse them from being lazy and simply just giving it super stallion livery. aside from the hands, they couldve just done some remolding with the blades, panels, nose and stabilizer and thats basically it.

Honestly makes me kinda sad again, seeing Grindor having a figure, for nostalgia reasons.
I played a lot of Transformers ROTF multiplayer on the Console, for many years, and Grindor was basically my main, all the way till the servers shutted down last year.
Now I do own the SS Blackout, but I am considering of buying Grindor just for that nostalgia... yet 50$ is still 50$...

played on ps3 and 360 and was my most played shooter that gen...mained long haul, grindor but used pretty much everyone

Blackout and Grindor are the same characters, he was revived alongside Megatron when they used the Allspark shard. The only reason Grindor is bigger with a different Alt mode is because the Helicopter they used for Blackout had just been retired from service, and I don’t believe they were able to get ahold of one so they switched to a newer, slightly larger model.
They gave him proper hand articulation? Alright Hasbro, I wasn't going to buy this guy at first (I have Studio Series Blackout), but because he actually has hands now I'll get him

They fixed the rotor!!! One of the major complaints of the original Blackout figure was that the rotor was too tight, and didn't spin well, and here with Grindor, they finally fixed it!!

1. The head is easy to take off. Before you fold up the "motor", you will see a screw on the back of his head. You have to approach it at an angle to get over the windshield piece. The face plate can come off easily if you use the "chin" and horns for leverage. As for the hands, I can't exactly tell you.
2. The engine and croch-plate bother me. It just looks half finished.

I bought this initially for Ravage and the new hands, but he's honestly grown on me.

Awesome vid! Grindor/Blackout is my favorite Transformer hands down. It’s sad the figure doesn’t come with an additional gun attachment on his arm like in the movies

As far as the figures themselves are concerned, Grindor has much nicer colors than Blackout. He looks way more eye-catching.

This is one of the best transformers in the world. It looks BA in both modes. The details, the materials, the complexity of transformation are all A-1 for a main line release. Out of all the movie series, grindor is hands down one of the best. Hasbro and Takara gave us our money's worth.

Wish he was taller and bigger but the big thing I wish he had was a head that could split in half, I know hasbro probably would not have done that but it would have been nice. I will get this for completion and Ravage, $50 for a ravage pretty much.

My only complaint is I can’t seem to get the panels on the top of the helicopter mode to fit right, they don’t want to clip or peg in properly. That and his leg joints are *SUPER TIGHT.*
The joint just below the thigh came off the mushroom peg, specifically. I was obviously able to reattach it :D
Had this arrive today, and seeing as I missed out on Blackout, yeah he's a good alternative. Looks really nice in the box and bigger than I thought. The wei jiang KO is too expensive so went for this

Blackout now has an upgrade kit and actually, Grindor can surely receive an upgrade kit from his body because he now includes the Ravage mini figure.

@emgo316, Grindor is a Super Stallion. It is basically the same thing as a Pave Low just a little bigger. It is used by the Marines.

I’ve had nothing but trouble with this figure. Bought 3 different ones and each had issues. First one the panels in vehicle mode would not go together neatly. Second was an improvement but the main rotor is uneven and doesn’t spin well, so decided to try a third time. Third one the panels don’t tab nicely, the rotor barely moves and the panels will n front of the rotor refuse to go together.
Bot mode is fantastic, but the vehicle is a source of never ending frustration.
Wonder if there’s an easy way to realign the rotor so it spins evenly

When I began watching this video it only had 2 views but already had 6 comments, or is a incredible video that can break the laws, or youtube it's broken.
I want to point this out, why not store Ravage on Scavenger's cockpit? In the movie, he was basically an alternative weapon so that they can hold Sam's parents hostage. That worked.
Fun fact, Emgo, Grindor is Blackout, but Blackout chose a new helicopter when he was revived with the shard like Barricade, Bonecrusher and Megatron, and Blackout changed his name to Grindor, give himself a little change, I mean, people do that too, am I not correct? Same as Transformers

Just started watching because I just started collecting recently and I don’t have blackout but I do have grindor and he is great but if I had both i would probably just focus on blackout
I bought this figure off of ebay for $55 and I just got him today. He is the most frustrating transformer I've ever handled in my life!!! Nothing tabs in, the joints are loose, and he will NOT stay together. After handling him, I wanted to throw him across the room! I pray that this is only my copy of the figure that has these problems and not other people's copies.
You probably got a knock off version, or it was used.

My attachment for the Bayformers characters mostly comes from the video games. I really liked Grindor in the Xbox and Ds version of TF ROTF The Game.

I always thought Blackout and Grindor were twins.
Just picked up this one, the lower knee joints on mine are so loose it won't stand up, and all the "clip in" bits to hold it together, they don't like doing that, and the left leg kept popping out when I tried rotating it until I worked that smooth.
Super cool figure, and I missed out on Blackout, which was a big first impression for me with the live action movies, and I did want him.
Unfortunately for me, this is one toy that will be displayed back in the box because he just won't stand up and I don't want to mess with the rivets.
This grindor face suppose like battle damage. Like in the movie..one eye read and one eye shut down. Or any scratch in the Body of Grindor there.👍👍👍

It’s actually been proven the grind or and black out are the same because when blackout was destroyed in the first movie he was dumped where Megatron was and offscreen somewhere it’s most likely that they sacrificed another useless decepticon to bring back blackout who renamed as grind door also grindor has a lot of rust from being underwater

I think he looks like blackout with a little bit of the rust, aka the rust like color, is probably because he could've been brought back with Meagtron with the left over parts of scrapmetal, I'm pretty sure thats who they got parts from.
Never really cared about grindor too. But since I never got the blackout. I might have to get this and just remove the poo.
Holy crap, OK so I just fact checked the differences in length and height of both helicopters IRL and the one Grindor is of his 11 feet longer and 2 feet taller than the Pavelow that Blackout is 🤯. So Ngl it actually makes total sense y he’s significantly taller in ROTF
