I know this was over a year ago, but one thing I don't know if you realized. You didn't need to flick as long as you did. You can do short flicks and it'll work. Just like an actual flick. Going from the bottom ot the top of the screen isn't how the FLick is registered it's just a quick up motion with the release of the Stylus. It's pretty simple to just do short ones which helps with the faster songs.

The reason lockstep 2 isn’t lockstep 1 isn’t that it’s slower or something. It’s because it’s in swing
