Great win for Paula! Although I didn't see the full match but having read the press reports,Emma blew her chance to get to the SF simply because her inconsistent serves let her down in the end because she was leading 3-1 in the final set and dominated Badosa in the first set and for part of the second set as well! Once her serves improve and reach the level of consistency as Alcaraz's then she should be winning matches like these on a regular basis because this match shouldn't have gone to a third set in the first place as Emma was well on her way to victory in the second set and was on the verge of going 4-2 up having broken Badosa in the first game of the second set as well as the first game in the first set and also winning the first set in only 49 mins but she double-faulted to allow Badosa the break back to level at 3-3 and ultimately the second set. Hopefully her serve consistency will have improved by the time the big one in September comes along and surely reaching the SF in NY will have more than made up for missing out the SF in Washington!
People comparing Raducanu to Alcaraz. Whatever next 😂 Raducanu hasn't won more than 3 matches anywhere in more than the last 40 tournaments played
@@huzcerwho's comparing? Read carefully first,I said to achieve Alcaraz's level of consistency in serves which shouldn't really be a problem since she was able to do it for 3 weeks ironically when she was least experienced in 2021 when she won her US Open title as a qualifier at 18,something which even Alcaraz or anyone else for that matter couldn't manage. But be in no doubt, her serves will come good in the end and she'll be a top 10 player as a result. Hasn't won 3 matches in a row in more than 40 matches? You been living under a rock? She did just that in Wimbledon a few weeks ago by taking out the 9th seed and world no.8 Sakkari in R3 in straight sets along the way for good measure!😅

Really a top-notch encounter among two impactful competitors. I had estimated that it was going to be a toilsome tussle between Badosa and Raducanu. Both of them fought very hard in order to gain the gorgeous points. Most of the rallies were utterly physical. That's why I believed that they were going to be pushed within this step. When these two tennis competitors recuperated her injuries, both Badosa and Raducanu have begun to compete more perseverant, relentless and steadfast than the major competitors. It proves the real quality, superiority and dominance of the tennis. It is worth seeing the upcoming scale of this sport. I would like to congratulate Paula Badosa, well-deserved triumph in the end, appreciating the outstanding effort of Raducanu. Thank you so much for making us watch such a gruelling showdown.

At this point Raducannu should jus call it quits or move over to doubles......she can't even beat an out of form/practise badosa. Fishy Fishcannu has been consistently bad against top players and players of any repute or weapons.

@@robertmartin7594talking of weapons 😂😂😂
That out of form/practice Badosa has just reached the final as well as demolishing her SF opponent Dolehide in straight sets along the way...Emma may have just been beaten by the eventual champion because the top seed Sabalenka has been knocked out by the unseeded Bouzková yesterday.😅 Regardless,Emma has had a successful tournament because she has now reached 69 in the rankings as a result of her expliots here in DC and has leapfrogged Dart to become Britain's no2 and will no longer need wildcards anymore in order to qualify for the main draw in any tournament. Also she's very close now to being a seeded player which means that she'll no longer have to face a seeded big name player in the early rounds.
