Things I want changed in invasions. Way less sniper scope glint, invader and Karl should have the same phone cool-down maybe one time use. More rewards for invader, I’ve been spawn killed multiple times as invader on certain maps Karl’s leaving mines on the spawn points that kill you instantly on certain maps.
And better spawns, because I've spawned right next to players and instantly got a free kill.
The Phones are broken. Why the hell should it be suspicious for the german jäger when he asks where Karl is ?
Btw if Karl phone calls 2 times and the german one time your location as invader will be revealed

I like this feature but I think the host needs a cool-down timer on invasions, just today I got 5 invaders on one level all within 10 seconds of the last guy. By the end I was like “Jesus Christ, can I just play the pissing mission!”
I wish I could get that many invaders I want the gun wraps

The “gangster” house was actually the Berghof, Hitler’s mansion in the Obersalzberg in Bavaria in Germany. Hermann Goerings house was right next door. A good many of the WWII structures in the Obersalzberg, including the Berghof, were heavily bombed during the war. Then afterwards the post-reich government decided to turn what was left of the Nazi homes and buildings into dust. That was done so no skinhead types treated the Berghof into a sort of pilgrimage.
There are underground bunkers still intact under the Berghof, Goerings house, etc, but I don’t think they’re open to the public. Though I could be wrong about that.

The mode is on by default and a lot of people dont realise a player in the game. Just look how many players continue to play the mission, they wouldn't do that knowing another player is hunting them
Honestly they would. They still have to finish the mission and if they STOP playing the mission they get revealed to the invader (camping) or outright killed (camping)
They should have to continue the mission so it doesn't devolve into a 1v1 with minions on one side but rather gives the invader the option of placing traps around the mission target, buffing ai, using the environment etc.
It's the same thing as with Dark Souls, the Invasion is there to spice up the gameplay. Most players could if they wanted just use their gun to shoot every german they find in the head, every german then drops some extra bullets which they can use to shoot the next german in the head.
I actually feel like the system is pretty good at forcing the Karl Player to continue the fight with its advantages that it gives to the invader IF the Player doesn't continue.
It should have a little tutorial to explain to players how it works but at this point I feel like 50% of Sniper Elite 5 players are playing it FOR the invasion.
@@verySharkey people have no clue what they are doing. I joined seven matches, three of them the guy died to common German infantry in a row, the other four they kept treating the game as if I wasn't there so they gave their locations away almost instantly. can't complain, easy kills are easy kills
That scope glint is a bit excessive :P
I also invaded a coop game the other day and celebrated my victory when I downed the first one by standing up because I was'nt aware, caught myself an instant headshot the moment I got up 😅
This is why I think the game mode need to be rebalanced

Agreed this is one of my biggest issues with the game mode it has made me lose because I either have to move or it won’t count the other person as camping even tho they don’t leave a single room house
Wish we could get compensated for the AI killing the players.

Invasions in this game are so sick. They're so much fun that I put off playing the story until I maxed out the progression for Jaeger.

If they added a similar game mode as this to hitman that game would be insane.
It would make that game god tier

Invasions are very fun everyone knows that but finding someone to rematch you is the biggest challenge I’ve played over 60 games of invasion and I’ve only gotten a rematch like 7 times.
I still haven't gotten a rematch and sometimes when I shoot them and hit them but don't kill them they instantly quit and cheat me of my kill

Have not played, but the part I do not like is the many ways of revealing the position of the operative (main player), BUT I think that on Authentic difficulty, most of those cheesy things are off. I think. In a stealth/sniper game, sound and action should be the only way to find the player.
The invasions are actually pretty well balanced. Most players are just super bad at the game or just keep playing the game like it's still singleplayer. Players can use invasion phones immediately when being invaded without giving away their position, while invaders have to wait 5 minutes before they're even allowed to use them and as well their position is given away no matter what when used. Plus if a player is actually being relatively sneaky, it can be incredibly hard to pinpoint their location without phones. Not to mention if the player has Player Resilience turned up, then they can tank at least a couple body shots from even the most tuned up sniper. So far in my time playing, I win probably 95% of my invasions both as the invader and the defender. The few times I lose are usually to something stupid, like bad servers, actual cheaters (surprisingly enough), or game bugs. Though sometimes it's just getting unlucky or outplayed.
@@Beefyrulz One of the bossiest complaints surrounding this game is how horribly unbalanced invasions are. They are very one-sided in the invaders favour. 5 mins is nothing when you take the size and length of each level. It’s something that desperately needs to be looked at and balanced
@@shangrilaw7561 I think the only people complaining about invasions are the people who get dunked on cuz they're bad or people who don't actually play the game. Having played both sides, it's pretty easy. Players have a lot at their disposal to combat invaders, people just don't utilize their full set of options. As well there's nothing to lose for either side. Even as the player, if you're worried about losing progress, you can quick save at any point during an invasion. Not to mention you can opt out of Invasions entirely as well as cancel an invasion at any time. Iirc if you quick load it will end the invasion, and I think you can even kick/block an Invader from the pause menu which will end an invasion. The only real advantage an Invader has is the use of the AI to pinpoint the position of the player and no need to be stealthy. At the end of the day, the Invader is supposed to be a challenging threat, not a perfectly balanced pvp fight. That's why multiplayer exists.
@@Beefyrulz I am not asking for balance: I want to respect that the main player is the operative and if they manage to remain stealthy and evade the invading player, that is PERFECT (not obvious: sound at some point). It is a stealth/sniper game, not a PvP shooter like others from my point of view.
@@Beefyrulz Dude, it’s pretty ridiculous to assume people are only complaining because they’re “bad”. If that was the case, there wouldn’t be many complaints. But they’re are TONS of people complaining about it. Most people that have played it are complaining about. Just because you’ve had an okay time, doesn’t mean it’s actually balanced. You’re not sone god-gamer dude. I’m sure you’re good, but to assume that you’re so above almost every other player in the game is damn near delusional. I can’t even get into an invasion anymore because almost everyone has then turned off because of the imbalance and the very few that don’t have it off cancel the invasion the moment it starts. That’s happening because the game mode is super imbalanced.
Also, the people playing through the campaign are also playing the other multiplayer game modes yet the complaints surrounding the regular multiplayer are far lesser in both scale and volume and they’re plenty populated. Clearly skill isn’t the issue, if it was, all of the players turning if invasions would be avoiding normal multiplayer, but they’re definitely not.
After all these years you are playing a game again that I also play. Very fun to watch you again Kotton much love!

My main issue is the scope glint, you can't RP as the hans from enemy at the gates if every time you aim you become a light beacon

As an Invader you should not be able to locate his location by picking up a phone. That's ridiculous. You have enough Intel at your disposal by following the dead bodies blown up buildings, objectives being completed. You don't need any more help
Then Karl shouldn’t get to spam the phone and get your location too. It should be completely cat and mouse.

14:21 this is a lil weird to me that once you kill one, the pressure is on them to kill the invader. Because the invader could then just go and lie down in a bush and run away when they use the phones lol. I think stuff like that isnt great, anything that encourages ppl to hide and camp isnt ideal. it would be better if they could bring their friend back by going to some spot to call them in, so they have a place they have to go to but the invader could know where it is and do a stake out there.

I had a gun fight in that first building you walked in in the beginning of the video. A d then I got back to back invaders that camped the tunnel.

You can change your view to first person, I know you can do it while aiming with your sidearm and smg

Think they only give 3 minutes and hide in bush for that if like sniper elite 4 you can snipe around a corner of a wall with out ever peaking just threw wall across map

Don't do what I did. I was the one doing the mission and I got in a very bad spot, so I camped in a building and he was too afraid to rush but I still lost because the game will give you a warning first and then eventually give you the lost for camping. I did not know this was a thing
