I love the pond fishing! It helps a lot. We have a pond in our HOA and followed your video about walking around the pond and I catch two bass in like 30 minutes. It was awesome! Thank you so much for your content. It is helping me and my daughter to fish better. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Tyler...it was refreshing to hear you acknowledge that not all fishing spots (ponds & reservoirs etc) are stocked with monsters waiting to bite. I'm up in here southern Ontario and can say without hesitation, catching fish is a regular grind that frustrates the heck out me. I liked your comment though where you mention (11:50) learning more leads to higher confidence. I guess I have a lot more to learn becaue it seems every body of water I fish doesn't have any fish there.
I have learn so much since I started watching your videos, that I am catching bass every day I fish. At first I didn’t catch anything for days. It was just learning the right techniques from you. Thank you for helping us become better anglers.
Thanks, for taking the time fishing public ponds and giving, showing valuable tips. I'm in Northeast Ohio, many small lakes, large ponds are stunted. I'm my opinion the main reason is a lot of people can care less about catch & release especially during spring.
Awesome you came to Iowa! It's because of you I was able to attempt my goal of 500 bass this year. I saw you do it, and wondered if it could be done here in Iowa. Im happy to report I'm currently sitting at 502, with all but 56 coming from public lakes and ponds. Thanks for your videos, I've really enjoyed them and have become a better angler because of them.
Iowa ponds have been challenging through the drought. Celebrate the tight lines and the experience that is fishing! There are 5+ pounders in some Iowa farm ponds with sufficient bait fish. Looking forward to sufficient rain statewide and stronger fishing in the future!
Tyler your videos have always help a lot I used to only fish from shore and now I do it from a kayak I live on the desert but we have a good size lake in the city, but every time I get a chance I travel 3 to 6 hours to go fish bigger lakes and all of this it’s because I learn so much with your videos that pumps my confidence to travel to new lakes this year I did my first kayak tournament series keep up the good work and god bless you my brother
I know a pond you should see about fishing I've fished it many of times its a 5 or 6 acer pond, and there is 10 and 14 pound bass in it but I would wait until there spawning its outstanding fishing.
Thought for a future 100 Ponds - there's a pond near me that's got clearings on one side and *heavy* brush over and in the water and on the bank on the other. Tough to get a cast off unimpeded. The cleared side is so pressured you can't get a bite. There are definitely fish on the brush side. I had three bites from there this weekend, all on casts where I got hung up and couldn't set the hook. That's how close the fish stay to the brush. Would be great to someone of your skill level break down that scenario, how you choose the type of cast, balance the risk/reward, etc.
Come on over to Cincinnati OH! I have a 2 acre pond 2 guests rooms and plenty of space for an rv and boat. I’ll feed ya the best bbq you can handle bro! The fall bites on too!!
I'm finding everything is tougher than last year with the decline water tables. That and high winds off the bank is making it exponentially tougher it seems.
THE MIDWEST WELCOMES YOU COME HERE MORE OFTEN! I would love your advice for places like this. Also, it was an absolute delight watching you transition from "Where are the biggins?" To "Let's go I caught a fish!" I live in Illinois and last week I caught an absolute monster of a bass. He weighed 1.6 lbs and I was on top of the world.
I live in Illinois too and I know how you feel. You'll get bigger than 2 lbs out on lakes but when I see these Texas boys pull in 8 pounders from a pond I think to myself how that'll never happen here! But hey, at least we have muskie here
@@p46_rs Also, cameras do not do justice to the size of a fish. The worst feeling is when you pull out a two pounder that looks like the five pounders that you see in videos and then you put it on the scale and see how light it is.
I used a spro topwater popping frogs yesterday and got 4 or 5 bites, and I missed all of them. They all had it in their mouth. I've seen how you always throw a popping pad perch. What is the best color I should get? I fishing a weedy pond with a bunch of laydowns in middle Geogia.
Can you do a video on the combos and line you use for certain techniques. Specifically pond fishing ones. Love your channel helping me to become a better angler keep the pond content coming please.
I own 3 different Mach’s (Carbon Fire, 2 and Pro), how did I not know about Mach Nation?!? Keep up the great videos. You and Flukemaster are my favorites.
man that's awesome i entered the giveway and what a grind that pond wass but to be honest i live in a not so great state for bass fishing so just to get more than one bass is a good day for me
What’s up Tyler I’m 16 and fish on my high school team I would absolutely love to win those rods and baits they would help a ton since I can’t afford to buy many rods reels and lures
I live near two mini lakes that are over fished and if I’m lucky I’ll catch one fish under 2 lbs. in a 5/6 hour span from the bank.😅😢😢 But watching you gives me the hope to one day catch as many and as chunky as the ones you catch!
My DREAM rod is a Mach Crush. Also, to any budget angler who reads this, let me tell you that a Mach Smash casting rod is 100% worth the purchase. I know the price is a little steep, but it is super smooth and the best quality you can possibly get before the price starts shooting way up.
Thanks for all the content man, you do an amazing job in all aspects of your craft! I want you to know I’ve recently purchased some jigs from outkast but couldn’t tie my purchase back to you!?!? I tried using TRF as a discount code. Anyway hope all is well and thanks for sharing all of your knowledge!
If you purchased them from Outkast directly, then great! I'd prefer you buy them through my tackle warehouse links though, as that makes me affiliate income. Either way, just happy you're supporting the brand!
Thanks man. Love those type of videos. I also love that even though you’re sponsored, you focus more about the specifications of your gear. Your my favorite RUclipsr out there.
Im glad to see more pond episodes, and the giveaway is awesome. I completed the survey but wasn't sure if there was something I needed to do. Also I usually fish year around and was wondering if you were going to still fish some ponds through the winter? Thanks 😊
