How much concrete will this hold? The description on the NT website says 8 Cu ft (2 bags). However, a 60 lb bag of concrete yields about .45 cu ft... so those numbers don't reconcile at all. What I'm trying to figure out here is if this machine will allow me to mix up enough so that I don' t have to make 10,000 batches (exaggerated) of cement for a grill pad project. FYI, my project is a 12x12 ft slab, which is about 48 cu ft of concrete, or 1.7 yards. At .45 cu ft / 60 lb bag, that's about 106 60 lb. bags of concrete. So if it truly only holds 2 bags, that's not NEAR enough... On the other hand, if it holds 10 or so, that might be do-able.
Awesome looks like a huge time saver.
I wonder if the paddles in this mortar mixer are robust enough to deal with mixing concrete and not just soft mortar.
None of them are, but we still use it for that anyway
these mixers are only for mortar
