Hey, doffy player here. I think in this board state against the Bonney, grav Blade is perfectly fine on the cavendish and Barto this turn. My reasoning would be that 8don for Bonnie is a weird turn (without cavendish) they could play another cav in to Urouge, maybe Hawkins, swing 6 and leave don up. Or Hody, most of these outcomes you can counter out of and keep board presence, then use jinbe in to moria and combo from there.
If cavendish stays on the board it enables Bonnie to potentially play 8drop kid and then get 2 don back from cavendish to don up kid and have leader skill. At that point a board full of 5/6k bodies is completely neutralised. Perhaps if the deck was stacked with a red roc it's fine cause you can anticipate the play and have a full board, but if not, I'd definitely grav blade
Just to edit: wanna say I like the idea of these gameplay exercises, but I think creating Lethal exercises are a bit better than mid game decisions, purely due to the variables at play eg. We don't know the doffy stack, and we don't know what our opponent could have searched prior. Enjoyed the thought process of the first scenario!

I had a similar thought, couldn't have said it better.

As a doffy player myself.. I would also gravity blade for the reasons you've said above. You can only gravity blade the Hawkins if u tap all your monsters as well..in which he probably blocked and got value already. Plus gravity blading on your 9 don turn is awkward.

I appreciate your insight. Kid would be bad. But I think hody and clearing board is way worse. So I’d rather incentivize them from going away from hody into kid cus red rock is a thing. And kaido later on can feel with kid

For the first scenario i would do:
1 don on lead 6k attack
    If Block, 13 + 15 gg
    If take, mihawk queen gg
Only option for opponent, Force a 2k counter to reduce the number of possible hands he could have to live. Any other form of counter other than a single 2k is gg.
Mihawk queen, swing 9 at character, they have to drop all cards in hand to counter guarantee they can't kill you next turn.
    Kill another character with Kaido
    Pass
4 characters upmax, with the hand doffy has i dont think there is a combo of attacks that you can lose even if they draw kid and killer. 77788? Counter 1 7, take 1 7, counter anothee 7 gg. 57888, counter 5, counter 7 gg.
Almost the same as yours, but more possible winning lines

For the first scenario you should always swing with mihawk to face first.
-If they take you have enough power to go for game after mihawking the blocker
-if they block you have enough power to go for game
-if they double 2k + 1k or 2k, you can go for game after mihawk the blocker.
-if they radical beam you can still go for board.
This guarantees you the win if they dont have radical beam, and and you're still safe if they do have it

Hey thx for the vid ! You, Vvtheory and op09 are really getting me back into the game (Enel took me out of it HARD).
For the second one what do you think about playing the croc into top decking jinbe for leader effect afterwards ?

Doffy vs law scenario i woudve attacked 11 with leader 12 with mihawk and 13 with kaido..which is the correct play imo..Ive never seen a law deck with radical beam so its weird you brought that up..but the play i said would play around that anyway.

I’ve seen plenty of people play radical beam. If you go for game and ignite the board you could possible lose

They counter out of your 1st attack with radical + 2k + 1k

Issue with that is you are commiting WAY too much don on a possibly wrong play, you can achiever very similar results by attacking with mihawk first, gaining information and then deciding your second play.

For the dofy into bonney scenario, is there no fear of captain kid into potentially 3 blockers?

    • @Chuchodinho
      @Chuchodinho 3 месяца назад +2

Yea, as a Bonney player that would be the move. 8 drop, rest it and play another blocker, swing with canvendish, put one don on kid and leave one up. Next turn just snowball from there

I feel as though kid that early isn’t that bad. I’d rather have my opponent play kid and I can easily red rock it or swing into it with kaido then them play hody and clearing my board THEN playing kid.

I like these exercises .You should do gameplay and have a whole game where you have the viewer guess and then show the play. Very cool video. The second half was the one i felt gravity blade the cavendish to negate the 8 don turn into kid like other people in the comments pointed out. Either way, It was a fun one. cant wait to see more like this.

I think you can easily deal with kid later on. If you play around kid and then they hody and clear your board then you just lose

You are right with the first one doffy vs rp law about bottom decking the queen with mihawk, but why not just attack 9k at life, if he takes gg, and also if he does not take, go 6k with leader and if he still counters out he will have 0 cards in hand. then you can attack with kaido at one of his characters if that is the case
