Very nostalgic a video which I avidly watched. As a boy over 70 years ago, we would travel from Fishponds via this line and the S&DJ railway and alight from the same coach at Bournemouth West. An engine of the 53800 series replaced a 4F or a Compound at Bath Green Park. Good times. Thank you Dave for posting this video.

In the early 1950s my family would board the train at Fishponds and travel to Bath Green Park, and sometimes on the S&DJ to Bournemouth West. A very good photographic history.

Hello Graham. I never travelled on the line unfortunately. My grandparents used to holiday in Bournemouth back in the 1920s and would catch the train from St Philip's Station to Bournemouth via Bath Green Park. Regards Dave.
