Это чудесно! Сочетание легкости и в тоже время мужественности, отточенность движений, музыкальность. Великолепное исполнение! Браво!!! Прекрасное воспоминание о Руди.. Как будто и он присутствует на сцене.. Спасибо!❤❤

Extraordinaire danseur. Sur un fil son esprit domine les moindres pièges et son intention musicale reste suprême, calme et virtuose, élagant les pas parfois trop denses en trouvant les accents cachés. Grand musicien et grand athlète.

Breathtaking. Just breathtaking. I actually love this choreography. It's not awkward, it's not merciless and it's not sadistic. It's highly original, incredibly musical and maybe a bit whimsical. Mathias Heymann certainly brings out the best in it, with so much grace, technical mastery and emotional depth. He's an incredible artist...... Bravo!

*I think it is the best version I've ever seen. Many dancers don't understand Nureyevs choreography and just make correct movements. It's well known that Nureyev had an amazing sense of music, and it's very hard to follow his idea in dance, since many people don't have his perfect hearing. Mathias Heymann like Nureyev feels the sound of every musical note, he understands it very good, every passionate movement matches perfectly to the music. I'm amazed. I need to look more for Heymanns performances.*

He is probably currently the best male principal in Paris Opera ballet, with one of the best techniques. And he is mature enough. He has this incredible strong body but this flying touch when he 'jumps'...

@@johnsprentall4077 So true. Nureyev's choreography at its most inspired, talking about the inner turmoil, hopes and dreams of the Prince, and Heymann totally sublime in performance and interpretation of Nureyev's intent.

Amazing dancer! I don't get how can he survive through the whole choreography and still have energy for the rest of the show O.O this choreography is really hard and there are just a few who can do it as noble as this man :)

He's almost as good as Roberto Bolle in his Teatro Milan performance.
It's not easy to make this typical fussy Nureyev's choreography come off genuinely
emotional along with elegance and grace. And that Heymann has plenty of in spade.

so.......you can't do it, eh?? Or a "friend" of yours can't do it?? All the POB Etoiles CAN do it .. don't call it sadistic and ........... well enough........

it is actually hard to do all these pas, but only at the beginning. Nureyev’s choreography is very original but not awkward....why?

    • @linhiril664
      @linhiril664 6 лет назад +1

Lol...well, I saw Nureyev himself do this variation exquisitely when he was older than this young man....six days a week and twice on Saturdays and Sundays in 1976. He was almost 40. Some people say “past his prime” because he couldn’t jump quite so high anymore. But his technique got cleaner and more defined and his artistry matured. I cannot watch this variation without seeing him in my mind’s eye. It is excruciatingly slow, admittedly, but he was known to be able to do for a very long time what other, younger dancers were amazed at.

Очень точное замечание. Хореографический рисунок чрезвычайно далёк от музыки Чайковского. Танцору же удалось вдохнуть в этот рисунок волнение, поэзию и грусть. Браво, Матиас!

Very well danced, but why POB keep Nureyev's convoluted production and
    merciless choreography is mystifying.

Hermann isn't quite the technical equal of Manuel Legris in the same role but he brings a degree of emotional depth to the role that is often lacking. Nureyev's choreography is problematic: laboured and stiff, not about the Prince so much as the choreographer. Unfortunately. But a spectacular production in every respect, as you'd expect of the POB.

  • @kabardinka1

I appreciate it's a memorial to Rudi, but the choreography in this version just isn't very good. Have to disagree with some in this thread, it's very awkward, very fussy, and does not flow with the music... maybe it's time for POB to use another version of Sleeping Beauty. Rudi was a great dancer and iconic performer but a mediocre choreographer.

Nureyev's choreography is immediately noticeable because it is terrible.
