Read it and absolutely loved your commentary!
Thank you for your honest opinion. Going to be on my TBR. 😊😊 Love your narrative 😊
Your review is so encouraging and has inspired me to give Paradise Lost a try. Thank you.
@@anniehaynes6564 I’m so glad you’re going for it! You won’t regret it 🙌🏼
Hi Humbly Haley...I love reading a classic..right now I'm watching Johnny Depp in the 1999 film The Ninth Gate
A neat little song I always think of as from Lucifer's point of view, is "Chova Chuva", or Constant Rain, by Brazil 66. I can hear him singing it.
This is on my reading list
@@PopleBackyardFarm I hope you enjoy it when you get to it!
I've not read Paradise Lost, yet. However, your video talking about it makes me want to. I'll be putting that on my list, for sure!
@@kelleymcfadin You will not regret it! It was so worth it 😄
“And that’s the literary way to flirt with your man.” 😂 Loved this!
@@robinkirk1821 Thank you 😂 I’m glad my husband fell in love with a dork.
I read that this year as well as the Lewis book about it. There were parts I didn’t like as much, and other parts that I thought were beautifully written and fascinating.
@@CandlewickLibrary there were definitely some places that I had to push myself to get through and others that I loved. It was a tough read but well worth it. I’m glad you read them both too 😄 Did you like Lewis’s perspective?
@@humblyhaley I did, but I kind of wish I had read Paradise Lost first and then Lewis’ book instead of the other way around.
@@CandlewickLibrary I went back and listened to his chapters on Satan and Adam and Eve on audiobook after I finished Paradise Lost so I understand what you mean
Single best piece of writing ever put to print. Paradise Lost: the answer to the question, What if we had a real writer try his hand at the book of Genesis.
Good that you are happy with your life choices. Sounds very different from mine. But the book sounds interesting. The person who got the role as Sauron in the serie "The Rings of Power", read from this book in his audition for the role , if you are familiar with that world. It was a monolog by Satan he was asked to read. Guess that is why your video comes up in my feed.
@@gunnhildk6299 It’s a very thought provoking book that I would recommend to anyone. I would like to read Tolkien’s works then dive into the screen adaptations but I could see why someone would use it for an audition. I’ll remember that whenever I get to it to see how that character fits the role.
Hi! Thanks for your review. I have a question and maybe you can help me. It is why is important to believe Adam and Eve where real? I mean I don't have to believe the three little pigs were real to understand it is better to build a solid house, and since the message is the important bit, why the characters being real or not should matter? Well, thanks again for this review!
As an elementary teacher, second career, I did not like having students read a story and then analyze it right away. That takes the enjoyment out of reading.
Not a fan of reading. My mind starts to trail after a while if its boring or too hard. Did you find it an easy read?
