That sure is a lot for one’s money! Wow. I’ve never seen this one before, but I always did love chrome pieces (guess it’s the car guy in me lol) that Lego made back then. And those printed fabrics. I wish they did that now.

Glad to share something not many people have seen! And I wish LEGO still did chrome and printed fabrics too! Golden era! 😁

First time I've heard of that castle but quite an interesting build, and definitely has the height! Also, I enjoyed how you took a couple minutes specifically reviewing features of it after the build! Since you choose a lot of older sets that folks like me may not even know about, I think the review aspect adds a whole other level to your video offering and I'd enjoy seeing you continue that! :)

Thank you! I’m still getting used to talking to a camera so this is new territory for me! 😂 Glad you liked the review! Thanks so much for watching! 😁

@@ForBricksandGiggles Oh I am sure.... at least you're doing that. I'm not comfortable enough to do my channel videos with myself in them yet, and at least 1 major youtuber I follow has never gone on camera. So I give you props for doing it no matter how nervous you may be. :)

Very interesting castle. I think the high is great but don’t forget to mention you can detach the castle and reorganize the castle in different positions.

Thanks for posting this, I received a few of the black columns and didn’t know a set they went with.

I owned this as a kid and can't imagine how much it cost my parents to get for me (we weren't rich). It was my favourite owned set next to the cargo train set, but this one was probably more fun to play with in terms of "storytelling" (loved the train to death though).
I think what I really loved as a kid was that this set really felt like more like an actual castle, in terms of size, and the fact that it could be cleanly split into 3 sections made it easier to play with and also gave some flexibility in what you could do with it, like making the tower its own "witch's tower".

Sounds like great childhood memories! This set does have so much playability and the size is awesome! Truly one-of-a-kind stylistically! 😁

Great video! I don't have this set but it looks really cool. I have the lowenstein castle from bricklink and Lego and it's really awesome! Keep up the great work!

I had this set growing up and it was awesome. I was thinking about buying it again but holy cow idk if I can justify the price tag haha. I gave all of my lego bricks to my little brother a long time ago and who knows where they are now.

Very nice review! I like the Fright Knights theme with all the horror/fantasy elements in it. It looks like it is not much shorter than the Tower of Orthanc.
