I believe balance is traditionally referred to as ‘poise’, which is a measure of how many or what type of hits you can take without being staggered yourself. I have not tested in this game so it’s just an assumption
Another video described balance as a defensive value against and enemy knocking you down. Not sure but there you go. Also thanks for the tips on jumping to get those high bags. Great work!

Amazing. Bound by flame meets the best dark souls I personally like and the automata remind me of a game I played in 2008 and favorite series nier and nier automata. It's hard with no assist but has easy moments but gets harder than dark souls imo. Good stuff here 👏
So far I am several hours in and Equipment does not drop. It is in chests you find as you explore. The only thing that drops is Essence which is your souls aka exp and consumables.
Loot Multiplier increase the drops you get from enemies. Capsules, grenades, ingots, etc. Doesn't affect weapon or armor drop rate as their all from chests
I think its so you can save some of them if you think that you'll die a lot in an area and it just lets you keep a permanent verson of them, albeit less than what you had

I have only played a few hours but im using the glass batons which inflict frost atm. I have not found any other weapon yet that scales with alchemy 😁

I think it's something like this. Seems to be how much you can take a hit while charging a heavy attack.

If you didnt find out yet balance helps you to minimize dmg/interrupt to you from enemy while you changeling heavy atacks.

Yes think of it as a bank that you have to pay interest on. You won't lose your experience but you're going to pay more to store it away
