How To : Removing a 42 inch New Style MTD Mower Deck

  • In this video i show how to remove a 42" deck on MTD rider's with the side-lever engagement, this style of deck came out in 2005. the old style prior to this style was the single-lever-blade-deck-engage system commonly refereed to as Drop-Engage-Deck-System or DEDS for short.

      Craftsman mowers had more than a few different decks, MTD being one of them.

    These mowers are like everything else,use it for a few years and throw it in the garbage...and buy a new one

      I have had mine 11 years, only paid $1,100 in 2012. It has broken 5 times but I just keep fixing it (springs, belts, fuse blown), but in the end I am saving myself koney
