Thank you Gill! Another great lesson. Here's a little tip from ne: -ation, -ity and some other prefixes affect the place of the syllable stress in the same manner in all words. -a- is stressed in all -ation words. -ity draws the stress before itself: inFINity, ceLEBrity, comparaBILity... Learning such suffixes will help us determine where the stress moves. 🎉

Thank you dear teacher GillI am from Algeria we've been taught that marking the stress on a specific syllable goes according to some rules.ex: in two syllable verbs ,stress is on the second syllble and also in words ending with suffix ity ,stress falls on the ante-penultimate syllable.....etc from other rules.I need if you don't mind approving or diapporoving. Thanks in advance.❤

Not as clear as it could have been because you didn't talk about a global way to understand it. Nuns, stress on the first, verbs on the second....it can help to put words in groups, the end of the word ( ty, tion, able, etc....) There are global rules to know that help a lot.
I ve just discovered your channel and already subscribed cause I like it. Thanks for your help
