Textures is the first real band that got me into progressive metal and djent, and their first 3 albums are some my most played of all time. Love Textures!
Thanks so much for this video! Textures was one of my favorite bands growing up and it was a damn shame that they disbanded. I'm still hoping that they release Genotype at some point but until then I've got awesome stuff like this interview and your analysis to hold me over! Who are you planning on interviewing next? I can't wait!
Bart is a very great musician and a person both! He rocks above so many tiny famous people that aren't creating anything musically and are famous for something that took from Meshuggah and made a business out of it! Textures was not Meshuggah, they created their own sound while they could keep it heavy! So many of the bands and fans these days do not know what a heavy music is, they just wanna add lower tuned ticker strings or harsher vocals and think they are making heavy music while in reallity they are making clown music! Do you wanna know what a heavy music is on E standard, look at Voivod and see what is heavy in Metal! I'm sure all of these resent Meshuggah fans since 2014 will find more about Textures slowly as their ears get more and more educated!
