For infrastructure development, Bangladesh is making good progress. It's just transportation chaos, they also throw plastic waste from their food on the road and that makes the streets dirty. Yes, I think they have to learn the discipline of throwing rubbish in the right place like in Japan.

I rode the metro last week and checked out Banani ... really impressed tbh. First time I went to Dhaka as I usually fly straight to Sylhet as I have family there.

Kathmandu has no Metro Rail
Nepal is more touristic nation and depends on tourism economy. Bangladesh doesnt. Khulna city the 3rd city of Bangladesh has bigger economy than Nepal. So it’s hardly surprising BD has a metro, should have 3-4 within next 15years Chittagong and Sylhet needs metro, Khulna too!
Bangladesh hardly have any tourists, nothing to see, just people and they have to work and earn, supplying labour to the world, thats why metro should have been done long ago in Dhaka!
