Robert I’ve been a long time viewer from Oklahoma and it’s funny because I have actually hunted with that guide many times and have sat on that same exact pond
I always enjoy watching a good dog having fun and doing what they do best.
I am from south of Lafayette LA... I learned to shoot because I was a hungry boy. But I must say that the dog is having the most fun of all.
One of my favorite videos so far. Lots of good content but there is always a few that stand out. Two things really hit home to me. Letting your cameraman shoot ducks at that pond was awesome! Cooking outdoors and sharing with the kids was a great thing. I have always focused on our kids / grand kids when wild game is involved. Good work Rob

Why is it a requirement to put "catch clean cook" in the title of every hunting video? "Kill, find some of it, eat it maybe but throw away most of it" would be more exact. Anything for views, I guess, and this phrase calls in the most sheep.

I understand you work hard making these RUclips videos, but, I find it to be kind of crazy the way you just travel where ever, and buy a new gun at every destination, or a new fishing rod. I love your content, don't get me wrong, I just wish you and Blue Gabe didn't flaunt it so much. A new boat here, a new truck there, a new gun, a new pole. I guess I'm just jealous.

I've had deer, elk, antelope and goose for wild game. Elk was really strong flavoring but unique. Antelope was just weird, can't describe it other than that. Goose tasted like roast beef and deer is amazing

you need to get a onewhell they are super fun
Next time you gotta try the French style duck. It's called Duck Confi and it's boiled in duck fat seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, shallots, clove, and thyme. Then you take them out and roast them in the oven on about 425 for 20mins to get the skin crispy. You'll love it I promise.

Catch, yes, clean, 90%no because plucking feathers and snapping your fingers is not cleaning, cook, well, tossing something on a grill is nothing special.

They should scald them with 145 degree soapy water, use an electric drum style feather plucker, and hot wax / ice cold water (repeat as necessary) to pull the remaining pin feathers. Will make the job sooooo much easier

Awesome Video!! When the kids come back for seconds on wild duck you know you did something right!! I can remember my first duck hunt and it was on a small farm pond almost identical to this one… I was around 9 or ten years old with my dad, we snuck up on the dam and he shot two mallards right off the bat sitting on the pond and two more later on… We didnt have a dog, but used a zebco 33 and a weighted treble hook to retrieve all the ducks… Those ducks were absolutely delicious too! My mom wrapped the Breast in bacon and cooked them over charcoal…😋🦆🦆

I love duck hunting & eating, but I also love eating wild game in general, especially when u harvestef/processed it at worst mostly urself. And then able to share it with friends and family. Doesn't get better than that period!!!!!¡

I dig your videos, but that was not wild duck you were cooking. Looked an awful lot like chicken. Perhaps it was domestic duck, but that was not wild Mallard. Wild duck meat is red, like steak. I enjoyed a dinner of wild duck tonight. I know what I am talking about. Please keep it real.
My guess is chicken thigh/leg, domestic duck breast meat.
The only time I've eaten duck was in a Chinese restaurant , It was Peking Duck . When they brought it to the table , before they carved it , the waiter scraped and scraped the breast with a knife to squeeze all of the oil out , so I'm in agreement with your neighbors kid . It's good but it's oily . I'd rather have turkey 🦃or chicken 🐔.

What part of Oklahoma are you hunting in ? My cousin and her bunch is waterfowl hunters , from Duncan Oklahoma. I Google them said Marlow Oklahoma, the high chaperell in Marlow use to be a great place to eat , I could also get my big truck in their parking lot, sometimes id meet a ex-girlfriend there and catch up .

All of you are wearing cozy jackets and well protected from the cold weather and the dog, no jacket, shivering and taking the tough weather. I think that is unfortunate and debatable.

Since you are not cooking the ducks on the bones. I have a trick that works as well. Peel of all the feather on the brests. Take a few of the misses preferable broken candles. Melt them and paint the brests with the candle wax. Then you can peel it of and the skin is as clean as can be. You can then cut off the brests with the skin on. I store them in the frezer with a pice of sandwich paper between. Then I can just take out as many brests as I like. You can take the legs as well. Try to make confit out of them - it is very tastfull and easy. If you do not have duck fat just use a natural oile like sunflower oile. Happy holiday from Denmark.
