- Hello! It's been a while. For any of my long term subscribers you will know that I stopped nursing and filming over 3 years ago when I had my first child. I now have two children that are three and one, and I have decided to return to nursing. We have moved out of London and into the country side and I just got a job on the bank at the local hospital. I will vlog my experiences and knowledge for anyone who is interested and will vlog the readmittances NMC process too.
I came across your videos after you’d stopped nursing and to be honest it really worried me for my future career. I’m a mature student and parent starting my children’s nursing degree in 1 month. After seeing you go through the course and then deciding not to carry on in nursing I though wow what if this happens to me?? But I guess everyone is different and it’s lovely to see you are back again and looking forward to seeing what you post x
Aw, I'm sorry I made you feel that way. It's a stuggle to find a balance between promoting nursing as a great career and being honest about the challenges. It's such a personal choice. Many of the girls I graduated with had children and went back to nursing, some changed into community or Health Visiting. I just really wanted to stay at home with my children. Even now, although I am returning to nursing. I'm only going to be working 1 or 2 shifts a week initially and see how it goes. I wish you all the best in you're nursing course. Keep in touch and let me know how it's going.
Congratulations and welcome back. X
welcome back. i remember watching you when i was in my 2nd year of nursing
Congratulations. 🎈
Yay!
Hi I’m happy you are back 😊👍
I’m one of your follower 🌷
Thank you! :)
Hiya! Watched you from the start of my nursing journey in 2012/13. I’ve now been qualified 4 years and work as a NICU nurse. Currently on mat leave with my second and considering a move to either HV or SN for more family friendly hours. It’s good you’re back. If you need a hand navigating anything give me a shout as I only revalidated in 2019 xx
Yes, I remember you commenting on my videos years ago! Thanks for watching for so long. Wow, time flies. Congratulations. I think it's such a difficult and personal choice. For me, I found nursing 12.5 shifts wasn't something I wanted to do with small children. I hated the thought of leaving them for that long. Bank is perfect for me at the moment as it gives me the flexibility. I was very happy at home with one, but with my two I have really felt the need to have my 'own' time. I have no idea what the future holds though. Its tricky because HV and SN give great hours when you have small children, but I love the excitement of working on the wards. Especially for you working in NICU, that'll be a big change!
Preparing for an interview abd writing a personal statement on nhs jobs please x
Currently deciding if I should go into nursing.... retaking my maths GCSE again after 5 years.
Wishing you all the best.
