And color bleeding into color as this process continues. Its not computationally efficient, particularly path tracing which is the only kind I get to play around with because its cheapened by the screenspace. Just like SSAO, HDAO, HBAO+. Ive seen a lot of games that its absolute dog shit at the screens edges. So do you just turn it off, and are a subscribee to the, its extremely flat and thats how I like 'em, school of thought?

So when enemies start to spawn, the music will change etc. MANY GAMES used to do this ith their soundtracks but it has become a lost art....... all we are allowed now is the same, generic, boring, "ORCHESTRAL" soundtracks ad nauseum in every game to achieve a crappy level of "INTERACTIVE MOVIE LIKE GAMES! Why would you wanna play a game when you can read / interat with some useless uni students idea of creativity!?"

Also you know what? synced is a bad word to use, its TIED to those things, not synced to them..... if it was synced, the music would change quite litterally EVERY time you fire it, EVERY time you charge it up, EVERYTIME you pull it ou and the music would be silent if it WASNT out,....therefore, not tied to it, just a PART of the whole.

The Xen portion of Black Mesa is absolutely amazing, and this song was the cherry on top. It's like the culmination of your entire journey, as you ascend the tower to fight Nihilanth...

I'm 30+ and I played first HL back in university, I also greatly enjoyed playing BMS beta somewhere in mid 2010s and after that I decided to carefully avoid each and every possible spoiler about further development. No news, no trailers, no screenshots, no nothing, I didn't have a slightest idea of how the new Xen looks like, even missed the release (only knew about it when the game popped in my suggestion on Steam during this summer sale). And man it was worth the effort. The first moment when Freeman picks the crowbar and exits the cave to see the shining portal in the distance encircled in flying rays with calm music in the background - it was literally tearbraking for me. Some people complained that the new Xen is too long, but I just didn't want it to end.

And believe it or not, editing and school don’t really mix well together As of now i made it to Blast Pit, and now I’m editing and slowly releasing the footage With this pace I’ll get to Xen within the end of the month (hopefully) But since I haven’t played Black Mesa for quite the time now (a few years) I noticed a lot of graphical improvements, mainly the light and shadows. And so far I’m really enjoying myself :D

i played this while playing the final half life 2 chapter. ( the one where you figth breen) and somehow i managed to time my last energy ball shot just so that its perfectly synced with the song at 5:34 .it was fucking amazing
The Black Mesa logo is pretty neat although I think that it looks like Pac Man has thrown back his head in anguish and sorrow due to the stroke suffered on his right side. Pristine and awesome music often allows you to escape the confinement of own your brain and shake hands with such profound or perhaps silly thoughts that your mind and imagination offer.
With the exception of the Factory part of Interloper(the second half of that chapter) you guys did an amazing job on Xen. Xen was beautiful, interesting, engaging, alien and the boss fights were actually fun this time.
Yeah, the elevator was easy. I heard people needed to god mode the three shield generators, but I had no problem with that part other than some framerate issues.
