  • TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN because the sprayer is about as loud as a hair dryer, but my phone mic makes it sound much louder, and it's a little startling at first.
We are trying out our new Worx paint sprayer for the very first time. We are spraying exterior latex paint, and followed advice to thin and strain the paint to avoid clumping and clogs.
The results are promising. With just about 2/3 of a gallon of paint, we covered much of one side of our house, and in very little time. Cleanup was also much easier than with other sprayers we’ve used in the past.
We do recommend this sprayer for home use as it appears to be built well enough to last for several years. We recommend that you have a second battery so you don’t strand yourself with a full cup of paint and no power to spray it.
    Have fun!
They sell them on Amazon here at this link - amzn.to/3PVw2xX. FYI this is an affiliate link that pays me a pittance if you purchase a product at Amazon.

Thanks for this! I have seen some bad reviews of this sprayer but the cardboard for overspray and thinning/straining the paint so it doesn’t clog are great tips for success!

You're very welcome! Yes, for an inexpensive sprayer it does a decent job. Thinning, and straining, the paint is an absolute necessity with this sprayer. It seems like a pain at first, but worth it for best results and no clogging. It helps to use distilled water as well because it doesn't have minerals in it that can change the paint structure if you're going to store the prepared paint for more than a few days.

Cool. Any idea if this would work with an oil based stain?

Nice, although it may have been more effective to demonstrate using the device on an unpainted or differently coloured surface. It's very difficult to ascertain the flow rate from this video because the colour being painted is similar or the same as the existing colour of the house.

Probably so, but repainting our house (its existing color) was what we purchased it for. I wasn't trying to show a particular feature, but rather an overall use of the product.

How many hours did it take to do the whole house? How would you compare it to other sprayers?

I painted half the house and it took the afternoon, but it was much easier, and neater, than using a roller and brushes.
I used to have a corded Wagner and it was inconvenient because of the cord and the amount of time it took to clean it afterwards. It took as long to clean it as it did to paint with it. The Worx cleans up in a few minutes and I am use it more often than I ever did the Wagner electric.

    Water may go to motor?❤

It is not designed to be submerged in water. So, yes water would go in the motor IF you soaked it in water.

How long do the batteries last

The 4ah battery is good for about 4 tanks of paint. The smaller, 2ah battery obviously about half that. I recently painted a small house with it... about 4 gallons of paint, and I had to recharge both batteries 3 times to get through it. Almost wished I had a corded sprayer by the time I was finished as the battery life turned out to be limiting. Lots of fun on small projects... maybe not the best tool for an entire house.
