U don't actually need an agent to clear ur car on Ghana side , u buy from togo , do the transit paper work and pay local handling charges in lome ,as soon as that is done u can drive the car by yourself to Ghana if u have an international drivers licence , once u get to Ghana customs they will give u your duty value to go and pay at commercial bank aflao thats all , you're done u drive off to anywhere in Ghana and register your car , the advantage of this is that no gpha handling charges and other agents clearing charges ,you're your own agent so u save a lot of money

There are cases where buying from togo becomes more expensive depending on the exchange rates at the time ,cedi to cfa as well as the demand for that particular car in the market as well as how much the raw duty will cost in Ghana be it car is over age etc ,so these are important factors one should take not of before going to buy from Togo, but in general its a lot cheaper to buy from there
