It may not be official, but they're a dynasty in my heart, and that appearance alone solidified their status as one of the most consistently dominant teams in cap era history.
@@barx I think we all agree the two bubble seasons were bogus. Too much of a game changer with the restrictions and fan issues. In my mind the Blues and the Avs were the last two real winners with TB asterisk wins, as with NJ in ‘95.

That “can’t be a Bruins fan if you’re not from Boston” statement baffled me as much as you expressed it. Sure I may be the lone Bruins fan here in El Paso (save for one car I saw with a bumper sticker, shoutout to you), but I make it an effort to watch any game they have on my tv service and you bet I watched every playoff game last year. Been a fan since I watched a random game back in 2015 against the Rangers (still glad I didn’t go with New York that afternoon). Oh yeah, that 2015 Blackhawks-Predators series was probably what brought me full time into hockey. I remember staying up late to watch that 3 OT game
As a Nashville fan I really feel him here. As much as I love the fans loyalty and fervor(it's what got me into hockey), it annoys the crap out of me when I go to a game and hear people shouting that have no clue whatsoever as to what's going on("SHOOT THE PUCK, WHY AREN'T YOU SHOOTING THE PUCK!?" kill me now). The irony of course being that I was practically that bad 2 years ago when I first started watching.
I guess I'll take it over indifference though.

Instead of waiting through commercials or another segment on Sportsnet or TSN that I don't care about, or finding the right magazine (that is out of date by the timne it's printed) I watch you Shannon, because you're knowledgeable, mostly unbiased and passionate. I hate the whole "your not a fan", "you can't be a fan", your not a fan IF".... I'm a Sharks fan, always root for them first, get the most enjoyment out of watching them. But I also like the Stars, Jackets, Hawks, Kings, Leafs for various reasons. I enjoy hockey, hate when people give you shit for it.

I've been to Nashville and I saw 2 Preds games. 1 against Minnesota and 1 against the Islanders in the same weekend. And I can say that the fans of Nashville are really, really loud. It seems loud on TV, till you actually experience it. It's wild

I'm sorry, but supporting multiple teams in the same sports league is a cop-out. I'm a fan of Liverpool FC and seeing them win the league after 30 years of near-misses was an indescribably euphoric feeling. Nothing compares to going from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. If I had decided to support Chelsea as well as Liverpool, do you really think seeing Liverpool win the PL would feel as satisfying? Fuck no, it wouldn't! I, therefore, refuse to do this in Hockey.
I like both Liverpool and Manchester United. I know now that's against the rules, didn't when I was a little kid and settled on those two teams.

Its come down to liking players and then you become a fan of that team. No rule saying you can't be a fan of more than 1 team. I grew up with original 6 teams. I always like to see any 1 of them do well in playoffs.

I'm old school. I root for one team and one team only. The rest my feelings are from dislike to serious loathing. I'm a Flyers fan. Been so since I knew what hockey was in the early 70's(my first hockey love were the Philadelphia Blazers of the WHA). The teams I loathe: Rangers, Bruins, Penguins, Islanders, Capitals, Devils. Basically the old Patrick division. Every other team it's just a dislike. Even the Canadiens. I dislike them but I respect them. Same with the Oilers.
Florida is so empty cos the stadium is in the middle of nowhere, and traffics so bad u literally have to leave at 4 or 430 to get in time for a 7 o clock game.
@Catharsis dude it's literally a 3 hour drive trust me it's not the same as Chicago, Nashville, Pittsburgh or dc where the stadium is in the city. It's a huge factor for the low attendance. Miami fans are fickle true, but um games and heat games are SUPER easy to get to. The marlins stadium is easy to get to too, and they don't get anyone at the games either, so obv it's not the only factor. More people go to panthers games than marlins games, even with thr traffic.

What most people don’t realize about the Nashville “Its all your fault” chant is that it is cued by the goal announcement that Paul does. It starts with the roars that count the goals. As a leafs fan, I love our coverage but I was stuck in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 8 1/2 years during the 1990s. I couldn't watch leaf games and had st. Louis, Colorado, dallas, and detroit games while my family is from toronto. So I as much as I am a leaf fan, I am empathetic to you.

I like/dislike teams mostly based on players, so the teams I like/dislike often change. I cheered on Blackhawks, (Toews) Caps, (Ovi) Blues, (Parayko, Bozak and the Goalie) Red Wings (Yzerman). Some of my fav Hockey memories are watching my fav players win The Stanley Cup not really caring what team it is. I have also watched Cup Finals not caring what team's playing, or who wins. Also when Gilmour played for the Habs, that dropped him down somewhere in my top 10 fav players... I feel the same as Shannon with how he feels Canucks won't win in his lifetime. The Leafs ain't winning shit any time soon, I'll keep cheering but it's not gonna happen. This video was fun...GOLEAFSGO

You may have started your channel in part due to the excessive toronto reporting, and as a leafs fan I thank you because you've become my go to source for a hell of a lot of hockey stuff. Even I can't stand the constant barrage
i will never live down that 03 Wild season if i’m not mistaken we were predicted to not even win a single game against Colorado then came back from down 3-1 to end Roy’s career then went on to be the only team to come back from another 3-1 series in the same year only to be swept by anaheim in the semis. miss those old koho jerseys too
I live in Boston and have lived in Boston in all 54 years of my life. I am also a life long Bruins fan. I have never been to a Bruins game to this day. I did meet Terry O'Reilly and Peter Mcnab while being in Children's Hospital in 1976. I also kind of knew Dave Reid when hr started his second stint with The Bruins as he worked voluntarily at a sports memorabilia store. I also worked at a theater in Boston where I waited on Rick Tocchet and the day before that, Kyle McLaren was a customer as well.
I'm a Blackhawks fan and have been since I turned 7 in 1962. Unlike most Hawks, fans I've developed a love for this Canucks team. They have been fun to watch and I've been pulling for them. Since I too am a Chicago Cubs fan, I know what it's like not to win it all for a long time. I started the season pulling for the Leafs to win the Cup. I can now say (unlike most Hawks fans who still hate Vancouver) that I'd be happy to see the Canucks win the Stanley Cup.

I thought the premise was about how you hated all the teams. Not how you don't in 25 minutes.
"The Canucks will not win a Stanley Cup in my lifetime." I have said those words more than a few times. In fact I have told friends, "if the Canucks do win the Stanley Cup, you should check the obituaries for my demise." How long have I lived with this - I was in my parents living room watching as Barry Wilkins scored that first Canuck goal.

I've found that as I've gotten older my hatred for sports teams has definitely faded. Being a Devils fan I'll never like the Rangers but it's interesting because after the Devils beat them in OT in the conference finals, well I may have been very drunk and not nice to the Ranger fans after the game... BUT now when a team I dislike loses in the playoffs I feel bad for them. And as for the Rangers I really would like Lundqvist to win a cup. Not necessarily with the Rangers, but he's been a great goalie and seems like a realy good guy.

Being born raised in Medicine Hat always liked Flames hate Coilers but since 82 and living in Van 35 yrs luv the Canucks always will. Since Vegas came in I finally found a US team to cheer for. If I hate a team there’s still players from there I like and respect. Most teams I’m just meh about and I do agree with 99% of what you say. But Boston….hate hate hate. Hate hate hate lol.

2:55 preach man. Grew up a Whaler fan in the early 90's. I lived about an hour or so from the Civic center. Got a ton of shit for it. Once they left I picked Boston since I lived in MA. Glad I went from one garbage organization to a heart breaker. As for my old man he grew up during the Orr days. Loved his Bruins. Never meet a man who hated the Rangers more. Which is funny I actually liked the mid 90's rangers team. Leetch was one of my favorite players as a kid. So when they were on TV my Dad would just storm off and yell "NOT WATCHING!!"
I took him to his first ever playoff game in 2013. Bruins vs the Ranger Game 1. Been a long time since I saw him that happy. More so after the OT winner by Marchand.

As a Canucks fan, I agree completely with what you say, been watching van since I was about 5 (19 now) and its hard to see them fail so often because I wanna see them do well, but every win I also can't help but to think ok how are they gunna fumble this next game :/
As a Preds fan ill be happy to tell you the crowd chirping comes from a bunch of Southern college football fans-turned Ice hockey fans. It was the same way in Houston when we had the Aeros.
I'm just indifferent to most NHL teams. I couldn't name you a single player for Columbus, Florida, Nashville, Arizona etc. I simply don't give a shit about a lot of these franchises
I'm new to this channel, and it's great to see a dedicated jerseys platform. I've been collecting jerseys since the 80's, but really dove in in the 91-92. 75 anniversary season. Especially because the 25 yr teams as well. 2 patches, I love special patches. I have about 150 pro weight, 25 game worn, and replica blanks. My question is why no crested name n number to display. The fonts n colors on many really add a Demension, especially live.

The reason why the seats in Florida are so empty it’s because those are all pre-bought seats by companies and you have to pay a higher price to be in but if you were to look at the other side of the arena it’s a lot more crowded
I live right next to where Vancouvers ECHL team plays and I can tell you we have a tradition to chirp the opposing teams goalie no matter what the score is.

No Sedins and no Henrik. We do have Pettersson and a guy called Forsberg and Rinne in NSH.. Maybe I'll lean a bit towards that. Maybe the King goes somewhere else. Laines and Makars progression is also a thing thing as well imo.
Dallas is just a big Nah, except for maybe the development of Klingberg/Heiskanen. Who'll be the better of the two?
Anaheim - How long is big G gonna be able to stay in the lineup? Detroit is, like all messy teams (Buffalo, Toronto, NJ), interesting. Arizona cause of the new GM and CEO(?).
As soon as Calgary joined, I hoped that they would win … but I have a lot of other favourites.- Philadelphia, the New York Islanders, and, certainly Vancouver. When I started watching hockey in 1976, I was hoping for the Flyers. I also hoped for the Islanders a lot because the Islanders played the Montreal Canadiens in the late 1970s, in such a good style. I was disappointed when the Islanders and Canadiens played in the 1990s series - one of the players from New York got injured in the last game of the Washington series. I was pleased that the Islanders won their cups, but they had to beat some of my favourite teams. The 1982 series with the Islanders vs. the Canucks was the one that got me to really watch the Canucks. I’m really glad that the Islanders beat the Oilers in 1983, because I really didn’t like Edmonton’s team. I always cheered for Calgary over Edmonton. I don’t have bad feelings about Edmonton now.

As a Ranger fan, I absolutely hated the Rangers for trading away draft picks and loading up on aging hockey stars. The architect of the Edmonton Oilers Glen Sather foolishly extended that tendency. However the Detroit Red Wings who acquired: Paul Coffey, Larry Murphy, Brendan Shanhan, Mike Vernon, Igor Larionov, Dominick Hasek, Brett Hull with Mike Illitch's cheque book proved it can work. Glad times have changed. Rangers have a lot of young talent via draft.

It's crazy to me that in his one minute to explain why he hates the bruins, he tells a story about their fans rather than just saying "Marchand" and moving on.
