That is one of the main reasons I moved away from the USA to Jamaica. It breaks my heart to see the rise of hate and the power of hate groups in particular and how it seems that not enough is being done in the govt to stand up to the racist and hate groups, particularly ones that are part of politics that want to see Trump back in power. I have been coming to Jamaica since 2006, and the spirit of resilience and livity and positive vibes has always kept me coming back and now it is my home. I have always found healing here and still do. The land of wood and water is also the land of irie vibes and wondeful music and food. There are problems and issues here like everyplace, but there is hope here that is lacking so many other places in the world today.
The customer service is the number one problem most visitors will agree with you. The problem lies with the quality of academic education. The next is a socio economic problem where one working at a loss.its a situation where the minimum wage can't cover the the cost of living. That clerk in the pharmacy attitude was due to the fact that she was thinkkng about where dinner is going to come from when she gets home. Jamaica needs a living wage not a minimum wage
I'll start with the bad things lol mosquitos bugs anything that crawls or flies, no water or electricity at times, wifi is apalling, too much speeding poor transportation have to wait for hours, poor customer service rude also things take too long to get sorted out. The good things are as you said but I love jamaica all the same can't wait to be back there.
It's very sad...it's unfortunate but it's same here where I live in north America, with a lot (not all) of Jamaican grocery stores/restaurants...not find dining...they need to do better
I love your vlog you have such a pleasant personality, but I think you're on point with 5 likes, but with customer service I think it's a generational gap with these youths because here in the USA they are rude with attitude attach especially them working in small businesses and as for cost of living for me, it's much cheaper in Jamaica than in the USA, my rent in the USA can cover 2 months expense living in Jamaica especially rent and food items because I buy from the local farmers.
The cost of living is less, but how much would you be earning in comparison? Whatever you’re earning here in the US, you need to convert that into Jamaican dollars and see if you would be getting that same amount of income in Jamaica.
What I love about Jamaica the richness of paradise, I look from a distance and watch it on RUclips on documentary on TV how beautiful the island is, I live there for 17 years . what I don’t like about Jamaica is the fear that it gave me of the small percentage of people who domineer the country with evil and put fear in people like me. I’m already a paranoid person, just the thought of be on my island to be free to move about without thinking that I can be armed robbed, kill, fear fly in my imagination but overall I think it’s one of the best islands in the Caribbean. As I said it’s only a small percentage of the people that put fear than us😢😢😢😢

@@Ubetterworkbloggrow ackee overseas? Which country does she live in? I’ve been trying to figure out if there was a way I can make it happen in the U.K. lol
I'm home from work sick leave and binging on your videos dis one right here Lord . I LOVE JAMAICA But di customer service mercy God no sah from you reach Airport smh I don't know why dem muss behave soh. But you sumed yard up wid one word vybe fi real
Everything you said the same could be applied to Grenada ! All the good stuff and all the bad ! I believe it's a Caribbean thing more than a Jamaican thing. It is what it is loooool 😀 Another excellent video ! Keep up the good work ! Bless !!
People say the EXACT same thing about customer service in Ghana. Everyone's pet hate who moves there.
Agree 100. Additional dislikes: violence and crime in Jamaica and Police corruption.
It's the driving for me 😂🤣
I love that the police don't shoot you for being black. I love how a white woman can't call the police on you stating that you are black, and don't belong. Give me a black majority country anytime over a white country well organized and professional country. I went to Jamaica last year, and was so grateful that I was there(I was born in Jamaica), even though they rob my bracelet off my wrist, it never phased me. I was so happy to be in that beautiful space, I can't tell you. I don't care how dem bad down deh. Freedom means every ting to me. 😳😌! Thanks for sharing.
The Police may not shoot you for being black, but they do treat you badly for being poor though. Lets put it this way, uptowners dont get treated the way downtowners are treated.
I just love the J'can accents n nature n landscape
I understand but still doesn’t mean she has to be rude
ur not alone with that customer service thing girl..i hate it🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'll start with the bad things lol mosquitos bugs anything that crawls or flies, no water or electricity at times, wifi is apalling, too much speeding poor transportation have to wait for hours, poor customer service rude also things take too long to get sorted out. The good things are as you said but I love jamaica all the same can't wait to be back there.
You nailed it sis..so true👍
Customer service terrible fi real. Dem nasty bad
Bad
Weather. That's why I stayed.
The BANK 😱 no man I went from it open and did not leave till dem ah lock de door come on Jamaica !! We love you but we can do a 1000 times better
No man lie🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol. My favorite. #Powercut
Girl preach ur not lying 🤥 Lol 😂
blesssssssss
