  • We hear from former Ice users, and they tell us their stories of how they became addicted including Aaron, a regular ice user who suffers from schizophrenia. We ride along with NSW Police as they raid a clandestine lab unknowingly located in a homeowner's granny flat. But after a drug lab has been dismantled, who is responsible for cleaning up the toxic residue left behind?
    This provocative series takes us to the frontline of Australia’s drug war on the drug known as Ice. Through unprecedented access, we follow the stories of Meth lab busts, front line importation arrests at the docks with Task Force Polaris, decontamination of suburbs by the cleanup crews, forensic teams tracing precursors and toxicologists investigating human impact from passive Meth cooking.

    Ah yes, a paranoid schizophrenic on ice.
    That sounds like a public safety hazard waiting to happen.

    I'm a bit concerned this guy is talking about stabbing babies in the head, yet the Dr's think he is doing well enough to not be admitted and be out around the community. Then he goes and does an armed robbery. He is literally telling the Dr's he WILL harm someone if they make him mad. And with himself thinking people are saying things to him when they aren't, or thinking he knows what they are thinking, an innocent person is going to get really hurt or killed around this guy. If he THINKS they say something wrong, he WILL do something to harm. HE SAID HE WOULD. That robbery could of just as easily been an attack on someone. He needs round the clock care. It's better to be in a hospital where he gets help, gets clean and innocent people are safe. The other option is he snaps one day... kills someone which will affect many innocent lives, and he ends up in prison with no mental help. Sad all the way around.

    Prohibition is the root of the problem.

    • @conzmoleman
      @conzmoleman 20 дней назад

      @@leslievasquez2645 You couldn’t miss the point more if you tried.
      Prohibition is a failure over one century old. It has never, ever worked. Not for one hour, one day, or one week. Let alone a year let alone 110.
      It has only caused supply to become deadlier, and ruined tens of millions of lives for the “crime” of altering one’s consciousness. A fundamental natural right.
      It makes me sick. We all saw what a disaster it was to ban booze. Enriching mob cartels. Blood in the streets. Corruption. Poisoned hooch.
      Name for me one single difference with drugs? There are none. There is no “drugs exception” to the Bill of Rights. This illegal, unconstitutional war on freedom, this war on the poor, this war on ourselves must end immediately.
      Drug addiction is a health problem and never a criminal one.

      Sorry, Mate… but some things NEED TO BE prohibited, and this is one of them. It’s dangerous!
      The State of Oregon decriminalized hard drugs a couple, three years back and it went so poorly that the State re criminalized the drugs either late last year, or earlier this year. It’s not only detrimental to the user, but the family and community too.

    • @conzmoleman
      @conzmoleman 20 дней назад

      @@kgraham5820 All drugs were legal since the founding of this country and we were fine. Opium bought over the counter at pharmacies or consumed safely in opium dens. The issues come from illegal supplies, just like mass poisoning with booze. Legal Booze is WAY worse than legal drugs. Furthermore addiction is a health issue, so stop making it a legal one. Prohibition only harms and never helps. It has been a FAILURE for a century. And you are straight up lying about Portland’s baby halfhearted decrim. You are so insanely ignorant. Another brainwashed Murdoch rag reader.

    With Aaron (Not Sure Of The Spelling) where does he get the funds to continue purchasing the 'ICE"? He looks very clean & well kept. I have absolutely no idea of the cost. Just curious.

    Australia’s stance on drugs has made it impossible for anyone to enjoy themselves. Dogs on subways, frisks for the hell of it and now once the ICE made it to the kangaroos state, the public realized that it’s just as hard as any drug to buy in the bush, but when you do, it gives you 2 days of being wasted for less than 1 gram of booger sugar. Hats off to Australia
