Sorry to hear about your injuries Rod. I have an interview Monday with Pepsi for Geo BOX. Excited. Ready to get driving but ultimately I have doubles triples, tanker and waiting for my Hazmat to be approved. I want to haul fuel baby and get to that bag$$ but need experience first! Good video my guy. Take care
@@jaylonallen8423 went good. Got a comtingent offer. Just cleared background and drug test last Thursday. Waiting on Pepsi Hr to review everything and get my start date.
@@HabituaILineStepper man I had to turn pepsi down. Their pay structure was too confusing and fluctuated too much. The geobox driver position on day shift paid base + commission vs the overnight guys who were being paid hourly plus OT. I'm at Dr Pepper now. Trying to get experience 1st then want to move on. Spoke to a few companies and 5-6 months seem to be a sweet spot for experience
@@photofinishgarage@photofinishgarage you turned down Pepsi for Dr. Pepper? You made a mistake there. You'd have made money off the commission, it's honestly better than hourly.
Hey man, I just picked up a job with Pepsi as a Geo driver up here in Alaska. I stumbled on your channel looking up DITL videos. I was definitely surprised at how many drivers are up on YT. Pay is 31.30/hr here. I'm not afraid of hard work but I know the driving experience is what's going to get me to a better job later in life. Glad to see you're still driving.
I appreciate it fam. It’s all a learning experience for us all . Good or bad . Just take it one day at a time family . Find what fits you until you gain the experience. My cousin is a owner operator so I gained a lot of knowledge working with him for six months
@@truckingwithrod649 I've had my CDL for about 6 years now, driven almost everything except truck and trailer. A lot of the experience I hope to gain is just being able to put stuff down on paper. A lot of these companies don't really take into account hauling rock and dirt with a side-dump as tractor trailer experience. I'll be subbing to your page and hoping to see you get after it!
yes sir, at the beginning you most likely need to put that work in. I started out with Miller Lite delivering beer now I'm doing 100% no touch freight. Everything he said in this video is on point!
@@truckingwithrod649 I Work For Sysco In Missouri , it’s lovely bro I did beer delivery before this but hey Sysco is great money is wonderful nd it’s no limit they got work if u want work and the benefits even better… good luck bro I’m definitely watching
Do you think you would have gotten hired right after cdl school like you did at Pepsi (assuming)? Now that you’re worth sysco, do you think it would be wise to work there without your Pepsi experience? Like would you have skipped Pepsi altogether?
@@truckingwithrod649 than you for the reply, I got job offer and drug test tomorrow I have some priors non violent or anything to do with driving so I was wondering

What type of drive test do you have to do
It’s easy bro ! You do the backing maneuvers and have a 15-20 minute drive in the semi truck . It’s not bad at all !

They check out your driving history . I’m not sure how in debt they go into the other stuff to be honest even though my record is clean.

What’s good brother,How long did you do at Pepsi? And was your Pepsi unionized?
lol you ain’t answer his question, just liked it
They got back to me within 3 weeks in my case
Did they do a drive and parking test at Pepsi when you first got hired? If so, would you mind filling me in on how that was like?
I didn’t have to do drive test at Pepsi . Are you fresh out of school ? Pepsi is a good company if you’re thinking about joining them .
