She's playing a vinyl-only set and people are bellyaching about knobs? It's obvious they're so ignorant they don't even know what the knobs do. She is very good with the EQ. She really knows how to make the incoming track hit at the right time with a burst of energy by swapping the right frequencies at the right time. That's all done with eq. Just what exactly is it that people think a mixer does? Like yeah, it didn't summon Untz Untz the flashing techno demon. Just listen to the mix with your ears and be quiet. It's an amazing track selection.
I have been searching for these comments and I have never seen them. I believe you, but I can't find them. All I see is 100% respect, other than the two posts where people mention other people deep in the comments supposedly complaining. Not sure why THOSE people need to be legitimized tbh. I think most people recognize this for what it is and aren't complaining.

THATS RIGHT! Finally none of these notebook DJs. I still experienced techno when it was normal. My favorite back then was Carl Cox (The Man with the 3 Turntables). That was still art. To bring a record that was recorded at 165 bmp to a record that has only 145 BPM and then burn the whole thing down in such a way that it still sounds as if it were a record.
EQ'ng on vinyl is different to digital, anyone else whos says different is a tourist. Its a great set.

Her mixing skills are just absolutely solid.... all vinyl and this is just butter-smooth. Not to mention her track selection and progression. As a former DJ of 7ish years I recognize the immense talent and effort she's put into building her skills. Mega props. Banging techno. I'm learning new tricks from closely watching how she mixes.

I'm addicted to techno music since 1991. It's all about that hypnotic flow you fall into and get lost...She is the one who impresses me really in what she's doing. She brings back this real, energetic quality of Techno, something that is getting to clean and cold in the last years, in my opinion.
Her selection is great, her skills are great, everything in this set is high class.
The EQ exercise is excellent. I really admire the way she uses the filter knob in order to prepare and slightly introduce the incoming track and right after reduce the current track presence. Doing this on vinyl is extremely difficult since you need to mentally pay so much attention on the manual decks sync. 10/10
I think that it helps when you become more experienced with performing to have extra performance enhancing tricks the better bro.
Not to mention owning/buying all of these vinyls. Holy smokes.

What I love about these sets is that the camera shows what the DJ is doing with the turntables. I'm learning how to become a DJ, so this actually helps me alot. Much love❤️
That's one thing that i did when i first started djing, i would notice how they moved the knobs and faders about when blending on in the frequencies.
Also knowing the tracklist and actually copying transition styles is an awesome way to train your motor functions along with your ears.

3 years late, but one thing she is an excellent example of is a DJ who knows their music and has a plan. You can learn the skills over time, but developing a library, taste, and the ability to take the listener on a journey is something that gets overlooked a lot by people learning to mix

I've listened to dozens of HOR Berlin sets and I keep coming back to this one. Its so good. One of the best sets I've ever heard.

I think a whole lot of folks underrate her. The mixing she does, especially being it full Vinyl takes quite some skills. Her mixing and build-up is insane. 10/10.
Also just to add, specifically the thing I mean to highlight: transitions and flow of the songs between 33:00 - 37:30 just...wow

I love that she does the lateral spin between the hands when she takes a record off. As a vinyl DJ with 30+ years in the saddle, I know; It's not necessary, there's no operational requirement to do it. But you just have to do it. :)

Anyone that still uses ACTUAL turntables can play with knobs as much as they want. This isn't some weak ass serato set, this is real skill on display.

Not really my kind of music but I have to say that her technique is almost perfect. She knows her way around the mixer, she really knows how to handle a vinyl. Is refreshing to see young DJs embrace and really work their way in the art of vinyl instead of being a poser with digital decks, touching buttons just to look busy and unable to put two track together without the Sync button. Good Job!!.
