i love seeing all these obscure little places. where im from we only have 2 skate areas with ramps and bowls and because my city has 100k+ people, theyre always packed. that quiet little ramp in the desert is a special thing. thanks for takin us along 😊
I just turned 30 and today was my first day at the skatepark ! It was hard, it was scary, and it was fun as hell. Thank you Indy for being so awesome and such a good and encouraging teacher, you make me want to try things I thought I wouldn’t be able to do !

I just can’t believe the whole incident. I only found out about it today and it makes me so sad every time I think about it and that betrayal. I assume that is where the intro went as pigeon was in it a ton and Indy just didn’t deserve that. I guess I’ll just have to re watch all the old vids haha

WOWOWOW this is so great!!! I have been feely so discourage struggling to do more difficult tricks. These will definately bring the fun back to running drills!
I freaking ADORE Indy. And I just learned she has a pretty singing voice, too. I like to think we would be friends if we ever met IRL, but the truth is I would be totally freaked out and fangirly and weird about it so it's probably best to not meet her because I would make an absolute fool out of myself... But it sure would be cool, though!
That's' what's cool about Indy. She's perfectly willing to make a fool of herself. She doesn't like butt burns. She almost gave herself one, recovered and made an interesting shriek. The lady's totally spontaneous. Whatever comes out of her is what she means. It makes her trustworthy because she's not scripting her every word, looking to use it as a weapon against somebody later. What you see is what you get. I wish more people were that way. We could get a lot more done if we didn't all waste our time trying to boss each other around.
I have been ramp/park roller skating for 5 months and I've been haveing lessons for about 3 and it has really helped me improve I also love watching your videos to help me on tricks I have quite got yet

Hi love your vids, skill and teaching style. I have a question about wheels. I'm a new skater and bought my first pair of skates and two sets of wheels about a month ago. One of the sets came with spacers to go between the bearings. I am using them and they do seem to help the wheels roll better. I'm able to tighten the wheel onto the skate without it slowing the wheel down. I haven't seen any quad skaters talk about them but in some skateboarding forums I've seen mixed opinions. Do have any advice/knowledge/experience using wheel spacers? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
hi I'm not jamma but I know that wheels spacers are a preference and some use it some dont! It really depends on your taste and how tight you like your wheels. Theyre safe to use even if you dont hear a lot of roller skaters talk about them

For the skate park you would wanna use hard wheels, 92A or harder. Softer wheels are too grippy and blubbery for the skatepark. With hard wheels you can feel the transitions and textures and that's important. Pumping and other ways of gaining speed are also easier with hard wheels. A rounded edge on the wheels is also nice at the skatepark. I bought the moxi fundaes and they work perfect for me. Some other great wheels for the skatepark are: CIB park or street wheels, Rollerbones bowl bombers, Moxi trick wheels. I hope this helps a little!
I used to be super good at roller skating at the age of 6-7 then I had to quit but I've finally been able to re learn and re teach myself I restarted about 28 days ago which is really cool and I've never really used protection while doing it but I might buy some just so I can do these tricks lol
i dont even have any skate parks near where i live so i just go down to this huge square peice of land on the water ( i live close to the water/a beach) and theres a really smooth hill there but ive been too scared to go down but yesterday i decided not to be scared and if i fall then i fall and will just get back up again so i went down it and i didnt fall
I took my skates to a skatepark but every time i try going up the ramp my wheels roll backward and leave my upper body behind, thus making me fall right over. No matter what I do I can’t get my feet to keep up with me. I’m defs gonna try these though!
Something's wrong, this is supposed to for "beginners". LOL My skills are very rusty and I'm old. Still, I enjoy watching these videos and they give me ideas of what to do at the skatepark.

Yup. That was also a heck of a long drive from Galveston uphill to Marfa. We all appreciate Indy for inviting us along for part of her day.

i find that kneeish length denim shorts are really good for skating in as u dont bum burn and also ur shins can breathe !
