A terrific overview of all the "Ghost Recon" games, brings me back to the good ol' Big Green days of FPS action!
I own all of them in the series for the OG Xbox & the 360, same with all the "Rainbow Six" games, all well worth owning & playing.
17 minute Popka video? Heck yeah!
This series isn't really in my wheelhouse, so I had no idea there were this many of them on the Big Green.
That said, who's wacky idea was it to make the Xbox version of a game with the same name the sequel to a game that didn't come out on Xbox?! I guess they just assumed everyone already had a PS2, eh?
It reminds me of the current situation with Octopath Traveller. The original was Switch and Xbox One, and the upcoming sequel is on Switch and PS4 xD
I've only played the Gamecube version of GR2 but from what I've heard, the weird split was mainly becuase the other consoles couldn't handle the Xbox version's content such as the level size.
The gamecube version of GR2 has less weapons and much smaller maps compared to the what I hear are in the Xbox version, to the point where they actually removed the ability to save mid-level due to how short they are.
Those where the best ghost recon games😁
Yes! Thank you!
The original is one of my very favorite games.
If "Return To Castle Wolfenstein" is my general favorite FPS, "Ghost Recon" is my favorite military shooter ever.
Really loved your videos!!! Is there any chances to see you start reviewing and xbox 360 games too)
There was a time when I thought about it, but after 9 years of YT and the direction it's been taking, I don't know if I could go through reviewing the 360! :D
@@TheDaliPopka I would love definitely to see more videos, especially some 360 content!
11:56 i love this game so much
dude, i loved the video, hope i see ya on insignia soon and i hit the sub button!
Great Overview, but with GR 1 I honestly prefer the PS2 Versions.
It´s release of the base game also features the content of the Desert Siege Expansion and Jungle Storm on PS2 has the Island Thunder content plus a new campaign and additional MP Maps giving it about twice the content of the XBox release of Island Thunder.
And the PC Version of GRAW is a whole different can of worms. GRAW is essentially 3.5 different games with the same name, story and cover art.
First there is the main version on 360, it´s the one everybody remembers and really what you should play.
Then there is the PC Version, this one leans much, much more into the Military Simulation direction with much slower gameplay, 1-shot kills on both ends and absolutely brutal difficulty.
The last 1.5 versions are the XBox ond PS2 Versions. With all the changes already made to the XBox Versions, the PS2 still couldn´t handle the game. Many levels where changed and / or cut down drastically to the point that it feels like a abridged version of the XBox game.
Yeah, I wanted to try the other versions of GRAW. The 360 one is on Series X/S for cheap, I might get it there. I might also give that PS2 of the original a go as well :)
Summit Strike is the real prize here. It's the best looking game of the lot and the missions are lengthy and tactical. That 'defend the bunker' mission, though... I still have nightmares.
It works on 360, but there are some small graphical glitches.
It would look and play great on Xbox One/Series. Hopefully we can see that one day.
Does any of the og xbox versions have offline multiplayer with bots to go against?
From what I could see, it doesn’t look like it sadly
@@TheDaliPopka ok that's fine
Checkout Insignia. It's Online only but it's gonna be the new Xbox Live and it's free.
Ghost Recon doesn't really look up my alley, but great reviews as always Popka!
Damn this was awesome game back in the days
GR2 also introduced progression mechanics. I remember leveling up the skill points of my squad. It was a very nice addition at the time.
great video
Is it possible to get the original ghost recon game for Series X? Thanks
Sadly no, it's not backwards compatible. The only Tom Clancy games that got the BC treatment were the Splinter Cell games.
The only way to play any pre 360 ghost recon games is the 360 with the backwards compatibility on that system. The 360 games are only compatible on the series x.
You tried to be sneaky with the subject of your next video
