Hey everyone, I hope youre doing well. Sorry I am unable to answer any comments or messages - I am away on a 5 week camping trip with no signal so sadly I can’t respond to all your lovely messages. I am very sorry but will get back to you as soon as I am back home. I think you will love this video I am currently filming! Take care x
I really enjoy your filming and editing style. You make me feel like a close friend that is sitting right there with you as you chat. Very relaxing, but yet excellent content as well.
Greetings from Japan. it is so nice to watch your video, especially pictures of nice nature , sky , cloud, sunset , trees , mountains , lakes, rivers of Scotland are so good,
I'm overjoyed at seeing you out and about, a nice three day break from the crazy world we are currently in. Personally I wouldn't sweat about not replying straight way, surely we who love you can give you some time for yourself. Hope your five week journey is mostly free from rain or other bad weather. Looking forward to hearing all about it, good luck and awesome hiking.
Another nice adventure! As a new subscriber I’ve been enjoying your content so much, and it’s great to see how you’ve developed as a film maker, outdoors person and all round inspiration. I look forward to seeing your journey continue and enjoying every minute :)
such lovely scenery the Mist looks so beautiful not as beautiful and gorgeous as you young lady have a wonderful and safe hike thank you for your videos love them Jaime Mendoza from Texas
whoa.... had to pause. "i think its better. Its all about the journey, not the destination, because then i'll be rushing to get somewhere" gave me chills gulf coast USA ~rad~
Right! THAT was an early backpacking lesson for me. There ARE times when one HAS to reach a water source, but streamside or where there are regular natural springs, why not stop and look around when one finds 'the right spot.'
Enjoyed the hike. Thanks for taking us all along. I would also like to see sometime how you pack your Osprey for a multi-day. Your a breath of fresh air in a stultifying COVID climate. Bless you.
Another enjoyable video. Love the way you capture the natural things like spiders website, flora and fauna. Keep up the good work and keep growing your hair.
A quick idea for some flavour in the rice. Get some like curry or chinse 5 spice or Cajun and some 60mmm pieces of smoothy plastic straws, wash n dry them. With a pair of pliers, have an end of straw stick out about 3mm and heat in a flame. Fill the tube to the amount of spice and melt the end very light. Will fill spaces in food bag and stop stuff rattling.
You are a brave young lady and do take chances when walking in the forest, but you probably have some self protection with you to deter anyone or anything from attacking you. If I had a daughter I would want her to be like you and be self sufficient and able to survive in areas she isn't use to. I like your cooking system and how you can heat up your water and cook on to remain healthy during your hike. You all do have some nice forest there and it reminds me of what it looks like here except we have plenty of ticks out this time of year. The mosquitoes are the same everywhere except the North and South poles. There are so many of them in Alaska as well and why I would not want to go there to live in the woods. Your hike seem to have been nice and you enjoyed it and God was with you all the way. Be safe there and I wish you all the best of luck this week and weekend.
Another great video Becky. Nice to see parts of our beautiful countryside I've yet to visit. Midges are the bane of a hikers existence lol. Stay safe atb Sean
Very relaxing video to watch and listen to, both the rain and your voice. I also love it that your channel is not about promoting super expensive very lightweight gear. I always bring a salami and even organized 3 day survival trips I called 'Salami survivals', because a salami and some hartkeks was all they were allowed to bring. The rest had to come from nature. The backpack was also limited to 35 liters. To me it's funny that the British use metric for volume but imperial for distance. I replaced rice with couscous years ago because couscous has no cooking time, so it saves on fuel for the stove. Hope you had a wonderful camping trip and will sure watch that video too.
great video! I have been nervous to camp in the Surrey hills, i live in london and want to do a few days camping and filming on the north downs way! thanks for the inspiration! 👍🙏
Have you tried freezer bags you can microwave, store food in them and then add hot water to them, save your pot just for heating water up, food bags become the rubbish, roll up and put away, saves dirtying pots, just spoon to clean.
Wow, it's so Beautiful love your VIDEO'S wish it would rain here in Las Vegas today it's 114 , very Hot blow the rain my way your VIDEO'S are so relaxing thank you
taking me 2 days to watch, can't wait to see where the trip and the trail take you. Rice and salami looks good. Imagine and egg and a little cheese in there play with your food. You're a legend Gulf Coast USA ~rad~
Hi Becky, lovely trip. Good watch with a morning coffee in hand :) You mentioned needing a summer sleepingbag and I wanted to recommend you the bags made by Cumulus. It's a Polish cottage vendor that do excellent stuff with down. I own a winter bag (panyam 600), summer bag (x-lite200) and an underquilt. Amazing value for money and they offer great service too. All their stuff is customizable but I still needed the underquilt custommade with a special fabric, contacted them and had it delivered within two weeks before my trip to Norway. The bags perform well past their temperature rating for me, which is astonishing given the weight. The underquilt causes me some issues, but that's probably inherent to hammock camping. I think the temperature in an underquilt shifts ever so slightly because it's exposed to winds in a way you won't be in a tent. Those little drops every now and then freak me out and in general my back is colder in a hammock. So I'm still learning how to hammock camp but have been tenting all my life. No reservations recommending their sleeping bags.
Just happened to run across you here and watched a video and subscribed. You have a calmness about you that i like and i really liked this one. Stay strong and stay safe.
Hi First time watching your videos, I’ve just started my wild camping journey. I think you are an amazing young lady, I love your calm nature and peaceful energy. I’ve subbed too. 😊
WOW 83.4k subs, wasn't that long ago you hit 50k Becky. So a massive well done from me to you. I loved this video blog, some great camera shots. Only thing wrong with England.....the unpredictable weather. I look forward to the next video 😊
For Summer I use a 20F Top Quilt which is a little wider. This way I can use it in the Hammock and also on the ground. You just need a good isolated Sleeping mat below you. I use the Thermorest Xtherm. Lite and easy. 👍
hi. I'm a Korean child mountaineer The video is so cool. There are also wonderful mountains in Korea, so I hope you will pay attention to them. I hope you always walk safely.
Hi Becks. Watch your posture when you swing your heavy pack onto your back. I usually lift onto my thigh before swinging onto my back. A pulled back muscle is not what you want on a long trek. How come you look great even after several days whereas I look like roadkill after 1 day on my multi-day Scottish treks ?!! Lol. Great vid mate & lovely to see you enjoying yourself. Inspirational. Take care xx
